Memory from 11 years ago (spoiler alert .... we adopted him):
Okay, so I'm out with Kyo at lunch time when a neighbour down the road comes out to talk to us. She asks about him and I tell her that we're temp fostering him for Birch Haven who rescued him. She then says he looks gorgeous and is so friendly and obedient. Then she asks me what's wrong with him that would make someone gave him away. She's a very nice neighbour so I bite my tongue and say, not a friggin' thing, the question you should ask is what's wrong with people, especially those who can't keep a commitment? For those of you who have spent anytime at all with him, you're probably just as angry as I am. Kyo is this super-combination of youthful playfulness and kuriousness, with the mature konfidence, calmness, presence, and poise that is the most special time of his life. A point that many dane owners dream of theirs reaching. May his forever home be found and until then, the super-dane is going to spend every minute of his day being loved, cared for, and given the freedom to show off his zoomies whenever the mood strikes him (and the coast is clear). Grrr.....
