Curve and Cantle babies. 8 born in the morning, one more dead in the late afternoon. Lost two of the smaller ones during that time span (probably Curve's clumsiness while birthing the last kit). 6 is a great number for her to have anyways, and means I won't have to foster two out to another doe. We have five black and one mystery light one left.

So I wasn't expecting broken black otter to pop up in this litter so I'm going to have do a dive into pedigrees. Three kits from Kacey and Hunter. They are growing well and have just opened their eyes. It's fun watching kits grow after a hard winter. two black otters and one tricolour. HOPEFULLY someone is carrying the blue of their momma!!! Trying to decide if i should hold a son back to breed back to momma. I'd love to have blue born in the barn again...

Curve and Tops have a boy looking for a new home. Should be fully pedigreed (or mostly there). He's a lovely boy, a smart lad who is not showable, but is a smart happy lad. he'd be easy to trick train and would delight most pet companion homes.

Curve's kiddos are growing up!! One boy and one girl. Not sure if the boy will stick around, the girl will be. Not sure if her markings are showable but her type is better than momma's at this stage... so that's a step forward. The boy, I just don't know if I want to replace his dad.... no big rush to decide at this point.

These February 2025 boys are ready for new digs to call their own. They are hoping to move together, but sometimes separation is necessary. They are petite youngsters, much like their momma and don't expect them to be on the bigger end of the cavy scale. boy 2 is more confident than boy 1. Both are frequently carried around the house, and watch movies with a young lady dwelling with us. Towels and treats make life great don't you know?

What do you think of the names chewsy or candy.... Or can you come up with something else that is taffy related? ...

I'm hopeful to keep them in the kitchen but Miss Ivy is very determined. So they may have to stay in my office for the next 3 weeks.....

Four boys, one girl. The girl, Harold, and Arnold are sticking around the two little boys that are related to the girl are available to new homes. Trying to figure out a good name for the girl. Her mom's name is Taffy. Suggestions are welcome.
