A Cairn owner in the UK had two cairn sisters, from the same parents. They asked why one looked cairn and was small and didn’t look the same. In many human families, there are different sizes within the Genetics. My sister and brother are tall, I am short. There’s no question about our parentage, but there are also different sizes of cairn terrier families. Some are 10 pounds, some range up to 30 pounds. Differences in families, just like the Japanese sumo wrestlers, and the tiny geisha girls.

Found in Florida! So one of the owners of a hotel, Judi was walking on the beach this morning cleaning up the junk that washed into shore and finds a bottle with a message in it. There is also some sand and 2 one dollar bills. Once we get it open and read the notes we find out that it is in fact NOT sand. It is the ashes of this woman's husband of 70 years named Gordon. She writes that He loved to travel so she sent him traveling in a bottle with a note and money for someone to call home and tell her where he landed. He started at Big Pine Key in March of 2012 and then went to Islamorada where someone found him.

They added a note and sent him traveling again and he landed on our beach in Key Colony. Judi called the wife in Tennessee who was excited to know of Gordon's travels! Judi added her note, we put him in a rum bottle (you know added a little fun to his trip) with the three notes. We added another dollar in case Gordon travels far and a long distance call is needed. We will be having a memorial service or celebration of his life on our beach later today before sending him on his way again." ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Friend listed Minnie in Idaho (Minnie has a home)

❗Update: On her way to her new home! Yay for Minnie!❗
Minnie just turned five years old. Spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations, crate trained, housebroken. She needs a home where she can be queen bee. Minnie has a dominant personality. We call her "the fun police" because she tries to control all the other dogs' playtime. Minnie is a snuggler who LOVES sleeping on the bed, or couch, or lap. She doesn't mind well-behaved children but doesn't tolerate rough play.
Minnie would do great with teenagers or older family members who want an only dog to decorate the furniture or go on easy walks.
Please contact me if you think this little lady would match your lifestyle.

This could be the most important thing that you see me post! These things are as lethal as a venomous snake in the wrong senerio! Please not only read it, but share it! Make sure we get the word out about these tics and the disease they carry!
It's warmer weather! Beginning time for camping, hiking and getting outside to play. Don't let those pesky annoying ticks stop you. Here's how with a simple homemade solution!
Repellent for your pets:
For pets, add 1 cup of water to a spray bottle, followed by 2 cups of distilled white vinegar. Ticks hate the smell and taste of vinegar, and will be easily be repelled by this ingredient alone. Then, add two spoonfuls of vegetable or almond oil, which both contain sulfur (another natural tick repellent).
To make a repellent that will also deter fleas, mix in a few spoonfuls of lemon juice, citrus oil, or any other safe essence oil for that may also repel ticks and fleas while also creating a nicely scented repellent but not be toxic to your dog. Spray onto the pet's dry coat, staying away from sensitive areas including eyes, nose, mouth, and ge****ls. When outdoors for an extended period, spray this solution on two to three times per day.
For you and your family:
In a spray bottle, mix 2 cups of distilled white vinegar and 1 cup of water. To make a scented solution so you do not smell like bitter vinegar all day, add 20 drops of your favorite essential oil.
Eucalyptus oil is a calm, soothing scent that also works as a tick repellent, while peppermint and citrus oils give off a strong crisp scent that also repel ticks.
After mixing the solution, spray onto clothing, skin, and hair before going outdoors. Reapply every four hours to keep ticks at bay, and examine your skin and hair when back inside to make sure no ticks are on the body.
If you have ever shared anything, please click share on this! WE must get the word spread about the dangers of Ticks and how to avoid them!

Every so often, I see a question pop up about whether or not placing retired breeding animals is ethical.
To people who aren’t breeders, it often looks bad or feels icky... like breeders are just tossing away dogs once they’ve been used to produce puppies. Let me give you a different perspective...
I receive messages and see posts from the owners of my retired show and breeding dogs. While their lives are comfortable with me, they now get to live an incredibly loved and spoiled life, many times as an only dog with a family that adores them.
Different isn’t good or bad, it’s just different. They live a different life with their families than they would have with me. They are content, satisfied, and loved with me; they continue to be all of those things, but with their very own people and without having to share those people with a pack of other dogs.
The day I let one of my retired dogs go to a family is HARD. I cry when I let them go... I look forward to updates on birthdays, “gotcha” days, and out of the blue every few months. I see how they are loved beyond measure, and I am grateful every day that my “retired” dogs have been blessed into the lives of the people that love them just as much as I ever did. I’m glad it could be one of mine that they love.
Quality breeders don’t rehome retired breeding dogs because it’s easy. We do it in spite of how hard it is on us because it’s what’s best for them.
