Cold front and snow on the way! If it doesn’t make you excited I don’t know what will. Good luck to everyone getting out! Remember to be careful with your dogs on or around ice. No retrieve is worth their life and no duck is ultimately worth yours!

PENDING!! Moss will soon be available to an approved home. His sire is 6X GRHRCH Straight Cash Homey MH MNR and dame is a FC Rock River Ben daughter. Moss is a-lot of dog and is well advanced for his 10 months. He is a pinpoint marker, great memory, unbelievable nose and has no issues with multiple marks. He is running cold blinds inside his marks and we are continuing to work on concepts. He is high drive, biddable, great off switch, and clean and quiet in the kennel. He is a sweet boy that loves attention and other dogs. Moss is put together well and will mature out around 70 lbs. If Moss goes south on a winter trip to work on water concepts he will be a powerhouse come spring!!

This has been about the most stressful weeks for me. Poor Ember girl has been sick since Sunday. She had a bowel obstruction so she got 3/4 a bottle of laxative, then 2 enemas to get cleaned out but wasn’t acting right. Blood work today revealed a positive test for ehrlichia which is a tick borne disease. Stupid me didn’t keep her up on her flea/tick. We strongly recommend everyone keep up on flea/tick and heartworm to avoid crap like this. Hopefully a few days of antibiotics and we’ll be back to normal.

Lucy came to me after refusing to pick up birds. We went through obedience and force fetch and marking training and I’d say it definitely worked!

I’m not know much as a bird dog guy but the more of these dogs I work, the more fun I’m having. We were able to complete obedience and force fetch with her in 2 months. This was her first hunt on purely her natural ability. She’s gonna be a good one. Thanks Chris Greathouse Cassie Greathouse for the opportunity. Good luck this season

9 months… it’s always a little bittersweet but we end our 2024 training season tomorrow. We will be available this winter only for weather acclimated dogs for boarding. We look forward to 2025 and what it will bring. Our books are open for the spring so please be proactive. Thanks again to all who have or will be trusting us for your pups training and boarding.

Man! Where to start? What a year it has been again! It’s quite a marathon between February and November around here training dogs. We are a week away from closing up shop for the winter. We had so many dogs here this year so it wouldn’t be fair to just put one here.
We are beyond thankful for all our clients whether it be boarding, obedience, gun dog, or hunt test. We strive to treat all dogs as of equal importance regardless of what training you are looking for.
I can’t say enough thank you’s to all of you. Without all of you trusting us with your dogs this would not be possible. We are always striving to be better and are already looking forward to the spring.
There were a lot of accomplishments this year to go along with the ups and downs. I also couldn’t train without my kennel hand Ethan. I don’t make it easy on him and expect a lot out of him but definitely do appreciate his help. God continues to bless us with dogs to train. I strongly believe HE is in control of all things and His plan is to be completed in Jesus Christ. That is much more important than my tiny business but it keeps us pushing forward. We pray we do all things within this business ultimately to His glory.
Again, thank you all so much.

Little bit of a late TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT! We are happy to introduce HRCH Nolla’s Pride of Coveybuster! Nolla almost had a perfect hunt test career with us going 2/2 in started, 3/3 in seasoned, and 4/5 in finished. Thank you John M Williams for the opportunity to train her. She’s turned out great.

Better late than never! Chief went home a few weeks ago after spending 3 1/2 months with us. He completed his basic gun dog program and did very well with it. He’s gonna be a good dog. Thanks Quaid Morgan and Keaton Morgan for the opportunity. Good luck this year.

One of my favorite things to practice, especially with obedience dogs, is establishing place on multiple surfaces. When you tell a dog to place and sit on anything they should stay there. Little Grace is getting BIG and about ready to go home!
