Crate trained. Mostly potty trained.
Know sit, Down, spin, and touch. And have experience out in the world.
Very social. Love people and other dogs. They do well with cats.

Mr. Artichoke finished his first week of his handler course. Their handler is the first one to do my one week here, one week there program where they come to me for the first week and I go to their town for the 2nd.
Artichoke did wonderful and got to get his graduation build a bear. ❤️
Thank you to his handler for being the first one interested in this new system and coming to Spokane.
Can't wait for his 2nd week of handler course in July.

Spots Available for new service dogs. I have opened my waitlist and have room to add in a couple new prospects. Broadway, Biscuit, his handler, and I went to a castle this morning to have tea. It was a wonderful experience. They gave us a couple treats to give the dogs at the end. Plus there was an elephant shaped teapot. Can't get much better and the boys did so well. ❤️

Puppies are here. We have 8 mal puppies that I will be fostering until I can find them homes. And some people asked what they could do to help.
I have made an Amazon wishlist. And will share it here. The biggest help on the wishlist is the potty pads. The biggest things I need otherwise are bleach, my disinfectant (kennel sol), and puppy food. That is not on Amazon in a way that can get to me. So I will also add my venmo and PayPal. Officer Zanotelli and Luka recently completed week 3 of training at the Washington State Department of Corrections K9 Narcotic Detection Dog Program. The focus of the training was the detection of contraband such as he**in, co***ne and methamphetamine. The team went through over 40 unknown finds which reinforced the ability to see Luka's change of behavior as well as letting him work through odor. Officer Zanotelli and Luka are on track and working great as a team! 🐕🦺🐕🦺🐕🦺🐕🦺🐕🦺

Little Miss Melon working on her Public Access. And me with what is referred to as my "dog training" voice. At Melon's young age (any puppy 8 weeks-16 weeks) we focus heavily on introducing her to as many things possible in a positive way. Which means going on lots of outings that are handled safe and responsibly. We want her to think that every outing is the best thing that's ever happened. That we can learn to recover if something is scary. That we learn to recognize that the left side of handler is a rewarding place to be. Many treats are used in this stage of training. So I have been down for the count because I had my gallbladder taken out last week. Eowyn (my personal retired service dog) knows that something is wrong but doesn't know how to fix it. So she checks on me while I sleep. Stays close by. (Eowyn is a very aloof dog that really hates cuddling) And brings me all her favorite toys because your favorite toy can fix everything. I advocate very hard that if an animal notices your service dog to move along to not stress out any of the zoo inhabitants. I’ve been a certified dog trainer for the past 10 years. I have taught dogs in various aspects of training from dog sledding, service dog work, to agility and obedience. Recently I picked up dog training again seriously and decided I wanted to train dogs for specific work. I am absolutely infatuated with my personal service dog, Eowyn and want to bring that same joy to others.
