Carlos, working his magic on Pepitos feet. Pepito has finally realized that trying to run from or kicking the farrier is no longer an option. Carlos doesn't put up with the nonsense like mom does.

This is great news. Thanks to horseracingwrongs for all you do for the horses that are being killed for the almighty dollar

BIG NEWS! Horseracing Wrongs is thrilled to announce that last night the Board of Selectmen in the town of Hardwick, Massachusetts, voted against the horseracing-facility proposal that would bring thoroughbred racing back to the state!

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Action Alerts, signed the Petition (the petition was delivered to the Board Chair on Monday) and volunteered and donated to help and most of all, thank you to the good people of Hardwick and all of Massachusetts for continuing to fight for the horses and fight against horseracing!

Heartbreaking. Humans don't deserve to have relationships with animals. We are just too selfish.

When I crossed over into the consciousness of veganism my emotions were wrecked. It felt like my insides were now raw and on top of my skin. I felt everything and I was in deep grief and agony that I could’ve ever eaten animals.

It took a couple years for me to be able to even go down a grocery aisle where hacked up bodies of flesh were packaged indiscriminately. It felt like a crime scene. I would look at the raw flesh and beg forgiveness. I would look at everyone picking up the cellophane wrapped packages of co**ses trying to decide which was better before they strolled off to the next co**se aisle. And what affected me to my soul was the kids. Children being taught by their momma and daddy to think buying and consuming hacked up bodies of babies was normal.

Humans have the capacity to live from a very humane center provided they do not think it’s humane to kill and eat animals. To be humane is to have compassion and be able to show benevolence.

People—there is no humane way to do the wrong thing! We must learn to act on the true meaning of our humanity so that we can teach this valuable life lesson to our offspring. Otherwise, violence through food choices is perpetuated through generations.

Once I slid down the rabbit hole of veganism my consciousness was renewed. My engrained beliefs that it was righteous to eat animals was washed away. There is nothing sacred or pure about consuming violence. That is why I spend every second of every day doing everything I can to redeem my upbringing.

Love, Reneé
