🐈 LONG ISLAND, NY ...In a heartwarming turn of events, a stunning kitty named Maddie appeared on a chilly evening, meowing and crying for refuge. Thanks to the kindness of a good Samaritan, Maddie was welcomed into a warm and safe haven, where she has been flourishing with love and care. ❤️

Regrettably, her current guardians are unable to provide a permanent home for this gorgeous Siamese mix, and have reached out to us for assistance. We couldn't resist the opportunity to help, and now invite you to provide Maddie with her forever home.

Maddie is approximately 5 months old, is FIV/FELV negative. She is an absolute love 😍.

🚨Urgent Foster Needed for Winter: A Sweet and Energetic Girl ❄️🐾

Location: Massachusetts, available w/transport to surrounding areas.

We’re urgently looking for a new foster for Winter, a gorgeous 1-year-old, 55-pound sweetheart with a big heart and lots of energy to burn.

Winter was recently rescued from a high-kill shelter in Georgia, where she sat for months, at risk of being put down for space. Thanks to Road to Home Rescue, she was pulled to safety and sent to a loving foster home in Massachusetts. While her foster has been wonderful, we’ve learned a few things about Winter during her time there that tell us she needs a different setup to truly thrive.

Here’s what Winter needs:
🐾 No cats: Though she tested well with cats at the shelter, she has shown too much interest in the foster’s cats, and it’s causing stress.
🐾 A fenced-in yard: Winter loves to run and play, and a yard where she can romp to her heart’s content is a must.
🐾 Another dog companion: She would benefit greatly from having a playful dog friend to help burn off her puppy energy.
🐾 An active family: Winter is still a young pup and needs a family that can provide plenty of exercise and structure while continuing her training.
🐾 Older children only: Due to her jumping and exuberant energy, we recommend no young kids, as she might accidentally knock them over.

Winter is working on her leash manners and learning not to jump, but she’s incredibly sweet and eager to please. With the right environment, she will continue to blossom into the amazing dog she is meant to be.

Meet Sweet Gibson: A Resilient and Loving Pittie Ready for His Forever Home 🐾❤️

Location: Alabama, transport available to many NorthEast states

Gibson, the friendliest pittie you’ll ever meet, has had a tough start in life. He was found running down a highway in Alabama before being picked up by animal control. Sadly, no one came to reclaim him, but based on his manners and training, it’s clear he once had a home.

At just 2 years old and 54 pounds, Gibson is the total package. Dogs like Gibson are often the last to find homes because they are pitties and black but trust us you will not be disappointed with this fella. He’s housebroken, crate trained, amazing with children of all ages, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Despite his past, Gibson is well-behaved, loving, and eager to please.

Unfortunately, someone performed a hack job on his ears at some point, but thankfully, they don’t cause him any pain. It also seems that Gibson sustained an injury to his front leg earlier in his life, which healed on its own. Our vet has confirmed that the leg is not painful and doesn’t require repair. It doesn’t stop Gibson from romping, playing, and living life to the fullest.

Gibson also tested positive for heartworm, but he’s currently undergoing treatment and is doing wonderfully.

While Gibson’s story may seem like one of hardship, he is anything but broken. He has an incredible personality, a heart full of love, and an unshakable spirit. He’s the kind of dog who will bring endless joy and companionship to any family.

Right now, Gibson is safe and thriving with his amazing foster family, but he’s still dreaming of a forever home to call his own. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed by this sweet boy!

Lina is about 2, about 40lbs, has been overbred and is constantly left loose to run in the neighborhood. She is very sweet and good with dogs and people. She is underweight with her ribs showing and has marks on her neck 💔

🐶 Her owners are willing to finally surrender her because of all the fines they are getting for her always being loose.

Mom and Pups Have Arrived!❤️

At 3:30 yesterday morning, Melody and her precious pups safely arrived into the loving arms of their foster family. The fosters were ready and waiting with open hearts and plenty of love to give!

Melody is very underweight and doesn’t appear to have enough milk to fully sustain her puppies, so they started eating gruel yesterday afternoon. They will be supplemented with everything they need to thrive and grow strong, while Mom gets the chance to regain her strength and put on some much-needed weight. The runt of the litter was very lethargic upon arrival but has started eating and showing signs of improvement. With all they’ve been through, this is still a very critical time for this little family, but they are exactly where they need to be to get the care and attention they deserve.

Meet Leo: The Gorgeous Boy with Stunning Eyes Still Waiting for His Forever Home 🐾✨

Location: South Carolina, available with transport to many NorthEast states 🚐

Say hello to Leo, a breathtaking staffy/lab/weimaraner mix with the most stunning eyes and a heart full of love. At just over a year old and weighing 40 pounds, Leo is the perfect mix of everything you’d want in a dog—but somehow, he’s still waiting patiently for his forever home. Quite frankly, we can’t figure out why!

Leo’s journey began in South Carolina, where an independent rescuer found him and graciously became his foster. When Road to Home was asked to help, we couldn’t say no to this incredible boy.

Melody is extremely skinny and will need some extra nutrition to support both herself and her growing babies, but we know she’s in the best hands. Foster mom is ready to start spoiling this sweet little family with all the love, care, and attention they deserve.

In addition to gaining weight, Melody will need to start heartworm treatment once her puppies are eating on their own. This sweet mama has been through so much, but we’re determined to give her and her pups the care they need to thrive.

No one is stepping up for these dogs, and we cannot save them without fosters or adopters. They need help NOW

🚨 URGENT: Kentucky Rescue in Crisis—Help Needed NOW! 🚨

This is a life-or-death situation. A dedicated rescuer in Kentucky, who has cared for countless animals, is now in a dire situation. Her health has deteriorated, her funds are gone, and the dogs in her care are living in harsh weather conditions.

These animals cannot wait any longer. We urgently need fosters, adopters, or donations to provide food, bedding, medical and transport.

Meet Leo the Lover:
Leo was born at the rescuer’s home three years ago after one of the dogs she saved gave birth to a litter of six boys. He has spent his entire life waiting for a family to call his own.

Leo is an absolute sweetheart who:
💜 Loves to sit on your feet and give you smooches
💜 Is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations
💜 Is crate trained and housebroken
💜 Would be great with kids and an amazing companion for someone with special needs
💜 Is mellow and calm once he knows you’re there for him

The rescuer hasn’t been able to do much leash training with Leo due to her health and his strength, but he’s ready to learn with the right guidance.

This loving boy deserves more than spending his days in the cold—he deserves a warm home and a family to love him. The rescuer has done everything in her power to care for Leo and the other dogs, but now she urgently needs help to find them safe homes.

We are thrilled to share that a private transport has been secured to keep Melody and her immunity-compromised puppies as safe as possible. To reduce risks and ensure their well-being, they will now be leaving tomorrow morning due to the severe weather in Georgia.

Melody has already tragically lost three of her precious babies, and we are doing everything in our power to ensure the rest of her little family stays safe.

Winter’s story is one of resilience. After spending several months in a shelter with no interest, this beautiful 1-year-old, 55-pound pit/hound mix has finally been rescued—but her journey to a forever home isn’t over yet.

Say hello to Noah, a 6-month-old terrier mix with the cutest floppy ears you’ve ever seen! This playful and lovable little guy was found alongside his brother, Samson, who has since been adopted. Now, Noah has been patiently waiting for his turn to find a forever family with the help of his incredible foster.

Weighing around 20 pounds, we suspect Noah will grow into a medium-sized dog. He’s wonderful with all people, gets along great with other dogs, and even does well with cats—he’s truly the total package!
