Another Connie Update from her foster parents 🥰
After a minor setback at the vets the other day, were she almost pulled mum over trying to get to another dog. This has made us more determined to get a handle on this behaviour, now more than ever.
To try and help with this we visited mums nan and uncle who have had Rottweilers for over 15 years, many of which have come from rescues themselves. Sophie, their current Rottweiler is the most docile and friendly dog you could ever meet and I'm happy to announce that it was a very successful visit. Now it wasn't all smooth sailing. Connie is very full on and did have to be corrected a number of times. She just gets so excited and doesn't know how to do anything gently. Sophie is very good at putting up with things but also setting boundaries when necessary, and a lot of Connie's behavioural issues appear to have come from poor socialisation. Most likely from when she was a pup. And after a couple of hours I can happily say that we managed to get to a point where Connie calmed down and Sophie saw Connie as less of a nuisance and more of a potential friend 🥰
Connie is 4 years old and is a boxer cross. She is such a sweet loving girl, who really deserves a chance. Connie was abandoned at a boarding kennels by her heartless owners.
Sadly she has had no interest at all, purely because of her dislike of other dogs, we are working with her, but it's not an overnight fix and she may never be ok around other dogs, we will also assist any new owner with the financial costs of a dog trainer to continue with her training in a new home.
She loves nothing more than a cuddle, she loves to sit outside of her kennel on the bench and relax, waiting for her next treat, she really enjoys a run in the secure dog field and playing fetch with her favourite red ball, she will run for the ball when I throw it and trot back, drops the ball wanting me to throw it again, she’s so playful on the field and stays close to you when we walk around, she loves investigating and likes all the new smells. She’s well behaved on the field and will come to the gate for her harness on when it’s time to leave, she’s good at recall and will sit when asked, she’s good in the car and will jump in with no issues and sit nicely as I put her seatbelt on and she loves a good nosey out of the window and will do the occasional yawn, as if to say, are we there yet, she very treat motivated and her favourites are lamb tripe, chicken treats and pigs ears, but if she has the choice of a cuddle or treat, she prefers a cuddle, she loves her kong filled with her wet food and treats and wags her tail when she sees it.
Connie’s favourite thing to do is to snuggle, and she will put her head on your shoulder, it’s so sweet, she also likes her paws or head on your lap and if you stop tickling her, you get the look with her gorgeous eyes, she will also roll on her back so she gets a tummy rub, she lets you take her food and toys away and is very gentle, she also take treats very gently too, when she comes out of her kennel in the morning, you get greeted with a w

Connie is good with children, but does not get on with other dogs or cats.
She is currently in Warrington. If you can offer her a home, please apply to adopt
Poor Connie is still with us in kennels, she's not having much luck finding the right people, despite having multiple meets with potential adopters/fosters, she is sadly still waiting in kennels.
Little Connie is a 4 year old boxer cross, she loves to sit outside on the bench and relax, she really enjoys her time in the dog field and playing fetch with her favourite red ball, she’s good in the car and likes a good nosey out of the window, very treat motivated and her favourites are lamb tripe and pigs ears, she loves her kong filled with her wet food and treats and wags her tail when she sees it. Connie’s favourite thing to do is snuggle, she likes her paws or head on your lap and if you stop tickling her, you get a look, she will also roll on her back for a tummy rub, she lets you take her food and toys away and is very gentle. She has previously lived with children too but is a bouncy girl.
Sadly Connie is reactive towards other dogs, this is her only flaw and it seems to be putting people off giving her a chance, she is great in every other way but can be a handful on walks if she sees another dog, hence we take her to private hire dogs fields instead, which makes walks much more enjoyable for everyone.

We are now accepting applications for Dora's beautiful puppies. They will be having their first vaccinations and microchips next week and will be ready to leave for new homes towards the end of the month.
They are french bulldog cross jack Russel so will not be large when fully grown. All pups are extremely playful, outgoing and well socialised with other dogs, children and cats. There are 3 males and 7 females.
Puppies are a lifetime commitment, they are only pups for a short amount of time! They will need lots of time, work and patience to ensure they become well socialised happy adults dogs. All pups are blank canvases, they will need toilet training and we always recommend attending puppy socialisation classes too.
Please do not apply if you have any holidays planned soon as it is crucial that pups have plenty of time to bond and learn their new routine
We are looking for loving family homes for our pups. They will need someone around for most of the day as puppies should not be left alone for hours on end. We will accept homes with other dogs, providing they are neutered, friendly and well socialised, we will also accept homes with cats and other animals. They can also be homed with well behaved young children too.
Please read our rehoming policies and procedures before completing an application. Pups are in Liverpool. Homecheck and adoption fee applies.
