🐾 Hey Slinky Cat Families! 🐾
We’ve got some impawtant news about bird flu (avian influenza) and how to keep your pets safe:
-Indoor Adventures Only: To protect your kitty, it’s best to limit their outdoor time for now. Wild birds and their droppings can pose a risk.�-Fresh & Clean: Keep your cat’s food and water bowls clean and indoors to avoid potential contamination.

-Avoid Raw Poultry and Unpasteurized Dairy Products: Feeding cats raw poultry or unpasteurized dairy products can expose them to the bird flu virus. Recent cases have linked contaminated raw pet food to infections in cats. It's safer to provide cooked or commercially prepared pet foods

-Be Cautious with Footwear: Bird flu can spread through contaminated surfaces, including shoes. To minimize risk, remove your shoes before entering your home or clean them thoroughly, especially if you've been in areas frequented by wild birds.�-Watch for Signs: If your cat isn’t acting like their usual purrfect self—like being lethargic, sneezing, or losing their appetite—reach out to your vet.
Remember, we’re not veterinarians, so for more specific advice, your vet is always the best resource!

Urgent
My name is Spirit and I need your help please. 🐾
I was adopted as a kitten but when my humans moved, they brought me back to The Rescue House to find a new home. This has really been devastating for me and I need a home with someone that can help me get through this. I'm eight years old and my health is good. I'm just sad and withdrawn and I've been living in an enclosure at a vet office. It's quiet and everyone is nice to me but I need to be in a home environment and have someone spend more time with me.
