Small Victories Animal Advocacy & Rescue was formerly located in Kalamazoo, Michigan and has moved to the Fayette County, West Virginia region. We strive to make a difference in animals' lives. If there is an animal in need and the resources are available, we will do what we can to help. Our intention is to grow within our communities and develop a core group of volunteers that not only believe in helping animals, but the people that care for them as well.

Meet Krampus! He is the happiest and most loveable little pup. He's so ready to fill the lives of a lucky family with joy. And check out how handsome he is! He's still quite young and has a bit more growing to do, but will most likely be a nice manageable medium size.

Loveable Casper has a very treatable skin condition that makes him look like he took the latest "Pink Pony Club" trend a little too seriously. He doesn't let his looks this get him down though and he is every bit a sweet and friendly puppy as you can find. Casper seems like a hound or terrier mix of some kind, with what is usually a soft white coat with light brown spots. He is an absolute sweetheart and deserves to spend the rest of his puppyhood in a kind and loving home.

Casper is about 5-6 months old. He will be neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and receive flea and tick prevention as part of his adoption. His adoption fee is $125.00.

Calling all hound dog lovers! Meet loveable Alice 😍. Lucy loves to explore and check out all the smells. She also LOVES people. She is as sweet and affectionate as a Coonhound can be. She's been an outdoor dog, heavily bred and probably left on her own a lot. Let's make this new chapter in her life a good one and show her how wonderful a new family can be. She deserves it! 💕

Sweet Licorice is a Great Dane mix and she has been through some stuff in her short life. She came to the shelter severely malnourished and scared. Fortunately, she hasn't let her past get the best of her and she is still as sweet and good natured as they come. It takes a little bit to gain her trust and confidence, but once you do she will be your best friend.

Licorice was lucky enough to spend some time outside of the shelter and her fosters for the day said that she was afraid for a short while, but quickly warmed up to everyone. She is great on leash and knows how to sit. And the couch and bones are her favorite things. ❤️

Due to her being so malnourished, she can eat rather quickly. Her new owners will need to be prepared to help her gain weight, but also use precautions to keep her from eating too fast which can sometimes lead to bloat in dogs like her.

Roscoe is cute, smart, energetic, and full of love to give. He's very food motivated and would be a lot of fun to train and work with. He's the perfect medium sized pup that could fit into just about any home situation. He is fun and sweet and not too bad look at either 😍.

Halloween and Michael Myers have sadly spent far too much of their young lives at the shelter. They're both the sweetest of boys who love to play. The shelter is a scary place for them and they do take a few minutes to warm up in new surroundings, but once they do they're just like any other puppy... full of curiosity and fun!

Halloween and Michael Myers are about 4-5 months old and to us, they appear to be Shepherd and/or Lab mixes. They will be neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and receive flea and tick prevention as part of their adoptions. Their adoption fee is $125.00 each.

This is Miller and we're in love with this sweetest of girls. Just look at those beautiful eyes 😍! And if you like dogs that hug, look no further. She loves to hug and be doted on. She hasn't been at the shelter long, but it is definitely not her happy place. She's a people-dog and is in desperate need for a new home that can love and appreciate her.

He was just extra excited on this day to be out and about and smelling all the smells with his amazing sniffer.🥰 Stuffing is a sweet and affectionate boy who loves adventure. Meet Yeller! Who doesn't love a beautiful Yellow Lab-ish kind of boy? He's is a stunner and a sweetheart as well. He is a little scared at first, but warms up quickly once he understands he can trust you. We think he's most likely fearful because he's struggling a bit with shelter life and that this fear will probably subside once he's in a new home. Our notes about him say "cute and floppy" 🤣, so what's not to love?

Hey Kalamazoo, Michigan area friends! We're looking for some help for this sweet kitty, Lucky. Lucky's owner passed away last week and she needs a rescue, foster, or a new forever home to land.

Lucky has 3 and 3/4 legs, but this doesn't stop her from doing all the things 4 legged kitties can do. She is 12 years old, front declawed, and as sweet as can be. She has lived with another cat before and she appears to be quite adaptable and unphased by all the new people that have entered her world since her owner passed. She would probably do fine with a cat-gentle dog.

And if you're not in the Kalamazoo, MI area, we are willing to do our best to arrange transportation. 🥰

Boo is one good looking doggo 😍 Unfortunately he often gets overlooked, as black dogs commonly do. He's a tough looking boy with the softest of hearts and a loving gentle soul. He can be uncertain in new situations, but once he learns there is nothing to fear, he'll seek out all the scratchies he can get.

Do you like big, meaty goofballs? Well, Blue is just what you're looking for! First of all, he's gorgeous with his beautiful blue eyes and a fancy brindle coat. He's a lumbering meatball of a dog that loves to play and be doted on. What's not to love? Come meet this hunk of a guy and you'll fall in love just as we have. 😍

Blue is about 2-3 years old and a big, strong boy. He would need to be the only pet in the home. He may do okay with children, but due to his strength and big doggy ways, older children would be best. Update: Sadie is fostered!🥰 Contact the shelter to set up a meet & greet!

This is adorable Sadie. She is as cute as can be in a smart little compact Beagle body. She came to the shelter as a stray, running with her almost identical sister, Brandy. Sadie is struggling at the shelter. She's a sensitive soul and is overwhelmed by the atmosphere and strangers. We know she loves her people when she feels safe and in a comfortable home. She's got so much Beagle love to give and anyone who has had a beagle knows that's a LOT of love. ❤️

Sadie is about 1 year old and on the smaller side barely reaching 20 lbs. She would do best being adopted into a home with other friendly dogs that could help her build her confidence. She really blossoms around other dogs. She should also have a secure fenced yard or be on leash for outings. Older children and/or children that exhibit kindness and patience would be best.

She will be spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and receive flea and tick prevention as part of her adoption. Her adoption fee is $125.00.

OAK HILL, WEST VIRGINIA

This gorgeous boy was rescued from his former life where he was tied to a tree without food or water. He was tied so tight his collar had become imbedded into his neck and he was gasping for air. Fortunately someone came to his aid and his owner relinquished care to them. We appreciate beyond words both his rescuers for stepping up and taking on this challenge and his former owners for allowing him to receive the better care he deserved 🥰

He is a young American Bully with the cutest freckled nose 😍. He's about 2 years old, crate trained and housebroken, has received Veterinary care for his neck, has also received vaccines and flea/tick preventative, and is good with other friendly dogs. He likes to chase cats, so he would need a home without them or one that will work with him to lose interest in that behavior.

He is looking for a home or a foster. His current rescuers are willing to sponsor his immediate care. Please let us know if you are interested in this sweetest of boys and we will get you in touch with them.

Meet sweet Bridget. She's your typical beagle type... energetic, food motivated, a sniffer working overtime, and tons of love to give. Although she was quiet when we visited, we suspect she's got the beagle yodel down too (all her open-mouthed photos are from her snacking on treats 😂). Because of Bridget's adventurous spirit, she'd do best with a securely fenced yard or leashed outings.

Bridget is about a year old and is very petite at around 25 lbs. She is good with other dogs and should do well with children. She will be spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and receive flea and tick prevention as part of her adoption. Her adoption fee is $125.00.
