Sugar Mutts is a 501(c)(3), public charity animal rescue formerly located in Brooklyn, NY and now located in Newfoundland, PA. We rescue all different breeds of dogs and all different ages. We also do farm animal rescue and our sister location, in Greentown, PA is Skymeadow Farm Animal Sanctuary

We are always accepting applications from potential permanent homes. The key t

o a successful adoption is simply finding the right canine-human match. For many people, the experience of going to a shelter to adopt can be a bit overwhelming, so we are always willing to suggest who might be “the one” and schedule a meet up! Our adoption fees range from $150-$300 and all our sugar mutts will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated (Distemper/Parvo & Rabies), heartworm tested, and microchipped. If we do not currently have the right match for you, you are welcome to e-mail us about what your ideal dog would be like. We will try and find you your canine match and contact you when we rescue a potential candidate!

Every once in a while your path crosses with someone who, for whatever special reason, leaves an impression that truly inspires.

A huge shout-out to Alek of who was kind enough to join us for our summer fundraiser this past Saturday and share his incredible wines with us and our supporters! We love networking and supporting local businesses, and Elm Hill Vineyard is a unique and extra special one. Alex’s passion for the process of adventurous wine-making is palpable and although Pennsylvania is not “known” for its wines… it is now! Literally every tasting we tried, we loved (especially the Riesling!). Each wine came with a story, an evolution, and its own unique energy guided by natures elements. His love of the craft is contagious and we thank him for bringing that positivity to our event!

FLASH TATTOOS!!! Excited to have NYC based tattoo artists Rachel & Vinny doing tattoos on Saturday. All proceeds going to the rescue. Just one more reason to come!!!!!

Meet Diggity! She’s our newest rescue intake and she’s looking for her forever family! Diggity Dog is a 19 month old spayed female Golden Retriever/Irish Setter mix who is FULL of energy and LOVES attention. She weighs about 58 lbs and is very friendly to all humans. She knows sit, shake, lay down and is crate-trained. In her ideal home, she would be the only dog, as she loves to be the center of attention. PM if interested!
