Mother Mayflower's Animal Haven Inc. MMAH is a forever home for leukemia & FIV positive cats. In June of 2005, our vet, Dr. Jeff, asked us to take our first leukemia positive cat, Mayflower.

It is located in Cincinnati Ohio and is a 501c3 nonprofit charity. Our mission is to improve life for,but not limited to, leuk+ & FIV+ cats, providing food, home, vet care. Soon after Sabrina, Nicky, Nora, Charlie and Georgia followed and we haven't looked back since. We currently offer shelter, vet care, companionship and lots of love to FIV and leukemia positive cats. While never exceeding a mana

geable number of residents, we have sheltered over 500 cats during the last 17years. We are a small haven and are often full, but we dream of expanding our useable space and therefore the number of animals we can shelter. We cannot take in cats who have tested negative, nursing or pregnant cats, or ferals as we just do not have the space. However, if you have a leukemia positive cat that gets along with other cats and likes being indoors then contact us if you are looking for a forever home. FiV intake was closed when our maximum number was reached. Our current clinic is the Evandale Blue Ash Pet Hospital. They are using sonograms, ultrasounds, dentals, and Texas A&M panels etc to give our kitties the best care possible and have helped cut our losses by two thirds.

Below are our kittos that are part of Cali’s Special Medical Needs. The purpose of this group is to cover all medical bills that are not part of their regularly, yearly costs. This includes flea treatments, long term monthly medications, diagnostics outside of their annual or semi-annual bloodwork, and medically necessary procedures such as COHATs (comprehensive oral health assessment and treatments). We are asking for donations ranging from $30-$50/month that can go towards a specific kitto in the group or to the group as a whole.

Included with each photo will be the kittos name and medical needs. These kittos have chronic medical needs but others may be added or taken from the group pending their needs and diagnosis.

Hi everyone! We look forward to seeing everyone at the event tonight, where you can learn more about our mission, sponsorships and volunteer opportunities.

We are making a few small changes this year for our sponsorships.

🐾If you would like to be the only sponsor for one of the kittos, we are asking for a donation of $100/month.

🐾If you would like to be one of multiple sponsors for one kitto, we are asking for a donation of $20/month.

🐾If you would like to sponsor a specific kitto that is part of the Cali’s Special Medical Needs group or you would like to contribute to that group as a whole, we are asking for a donation ranging from $30-$50/month.

If you are a current sponsor, you may continue donating with your current amount, unless you would like to change it. We appreciate any and all help for the continued care of the kittos!

If you are a current sponsor, thank you for your continued support in the care and well-being of our kittos! If you are interested in sponsoring, stay tuned this week for additional information ☺️

Hi everyone. This is our first post in a long time. My health issues have made typing and sitting up at the computer impossible. Our new assistant, Olivia, along with Jared will be taking over most of the Facebook posts. Thank you all for continuing to support our mission and I hope to see you all at our next event. Soon you will see a post going back as far as 2022 to be sure we have notified everyone involved with any of our lost kitties. Apologies for not being able to keep up with post notifications and hope no one's feelings are hurt. If it was possible, I would have updated everyone.

Thank you for your continued support.

- Lynda

Our Hospice

In June of 2005, our vet, Dr. Jeff, asked us to take our first leukemia positive cat, Mayflower. Soon after, Sabrina, Nicky, Nora, Charlie and Georgia arrived and Mayflower treated them all with such maternal compassion that we called her “Mother”. The name stuck and while always maintaining a manageable number of residents, her legacy has provided shelter, appropriate food, vet care, companionship and lots of love to over 400 cats during the past 14 years. We are a small haven and are often full, but we dream of expanding our useable space and therefore the number of animals we can shelter. We cannot take in cats who have tested negative, nursing are pregnant, or feral as we just do not have the space. However, if you have a leukemia positive cat that gets along with other cats and likes being indoors then contact us if you are looking for a forever home. FiV intake was closed when our maximum number was reached. Families, other vet clinics, and rescues from as far away as West Virginia have placed their kitties with us and have seen their euthanasia rates lowered, their morale lifted and watched as their kitties lived out the lives that they were given. It feels good to know your positive kitty didn’t have to die years before she felt sick just because you didn’t have enough space for her. These relationships have been a source of moral support for all of the humans involved as well. This shows just how much good can come from one life, one decision, one legacy...one cat named Mother Mayflower. http://smile.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/19VLSPKG8K64
