This is a work in progress but this is my set up so far for mushroom logs. It’s only my second year with inoculated logs. This year seemed to be challenging but I think I’m getting it figured out. One is was with slugs but that may have been related to a period with several days of rain. Shiitake are doing great today!

I’m working on a new mixed drink. It’s called slug chug. Much like the worm at the bottom of a tequila bottle, this drink involves luring the shiitake eating slugs into a cup of beer. Unlike the tequila bottle, the next morning you’ll have more than one slug and in order to make sure this gormet appetizer doesn’t run away, you chug!
