North Star Carriage North Star Carriage is the premier Horse Drawn Carriage Service for North Texas, serving Dallas West End and Sundance Square in Ft. Worth.

North Star Carriage serves the North Texas Area with the best in horse drawn transportation. We operate in the West End of Dallas and Klyde Warren Park, as well as around the Omni Hotel and on Commerce Street. We have carriages for Weddings, Princess/Cinderella Parties and Getaways, Quinceanara's, Wagons for larger groups and Visa Vis carriages. All vehicles are available for tours in all downtown areas. We are also able to offer end of life celebrations.

Preparations for our 2024 Christmas/Holiday season is and has been in full swing, AND running into overtime each day.

Here are answers to the most FAQ:

Q1.How many people does an OPEN carriage hold?
A: Depends on the carriage/your group; however, comfortably, 4 average sized adults and possibly 2 small children.(now, this doesn't mean an older child or a man child.) ๐Ÿ˜ it means a small young child/children. If it is of concern or you are uncertain, please please book the next size up, vehicle. We do put safety first for passengers, the ๐Ÿด and vehicle. We reserve the right to make sure safety measures are in place each day and each ride (If your group exceeds the capacity for any given carriage or wagon/wagonette we will need to ask that someone stay back. This is something we never want to do and feel we offer a wide range of vehicle sizes to accommodate the needs. In advance, thank you for understanding.)๐Ÿ˜Š

Q2. Can we cancel or change our reservation the day of?๐Ÿค”
A. As we do try incredibly hard to accommodate everyone, we do have a cancelation policy that is held-fast to. Please read that portion on our website as well as on your confirmation email. After which, if you have any questions feel free to ๐Ÿ“ž or ๐Ÿ“ง.
***PLEASE understand that refunds will take time to process, as it is 'all hands on deck', and in-office hours are limited.

Q3. Can we bring food and drink?
A: ABSOLUTELY! ๐ŸŽŠ
As a matter of fact we encourage it. Any and all food and drink is permitted.๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿฅจ๐Ÿง€๐Ÿ•๐ŸŸ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿพโ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿง‰(please take your trash when you leave.๐Ÿ˜) A side note to remember..the roads are not always smooth, so plastic may be the better choice for your drinks, as well as filling cups about half way(lids are encouraged)๐Ÿฅค ๐Ÿคช
**If bringing bottle(s) of champagne/wine, etc to be opened on the carriage, please let your driver know PRIOR to opening...any drink type is permitted.)

Q4: Which is better, Deer Field or Highland Park?
A: Great question and one that is difficult to answer, so let us provide the following:
Highland Park is an incredible neighborhood with lights on those beautiful gi-normous homes. Peaceful ride through an historic part of Dallas.
Deer Field is a community that has street after street of Christmas lights. If lots of lights are your jam, this may be the better choice.

Q5: Do you provide music and blankets?
A: GREAT GREAT question! We DO NOT provide blankets; however, we do bring the music.๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽต If you have a playlist you would rather listen to, you are welcome to Bluetooth into the drivers' speaker and party on!๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽŠ

Q6: Can we smoke during our ride?
A: The short answer is No.

Highland Park:
If you like looking at gi-normous homes, this may be the place for you. We believe we have the best routes with the most lights!!

Deer Field:
If you have children or you like LOTS of lights, Deer Field may be the better choice.

Regardless of location you can expect professional courteous drivers. We provide music but you are welcome to bring your own playlist, if you prefer. Food, snacks, drinks of all kinds are welcomed!

Whoa, things have been busy around here!!

The Oklahoma State Fair was a H-U-G-E success and excited about talks for next year are under way. Big shout out to all the people that made this work and all the competitors that showed up! Thank you Cj Wagner, Zoe, Robyn Sher Gramly, Lee and others that came up for the competition. We heard you from the stands! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚

High point award goes to Tristan Musa from Kansas. Congratulations!๐Ÿ†๐Ÿฅ‡

We were crazy busy, ๐Ÿฅดso unfortunately that means not a lot of pictures were taken. We need a photographer..lol๐Ÿ“ธ

There is always always room for improvement and we look forward to the challenge!

There were many top 5 placements, a few DQ's ๐Ÿซข๐Ÿซฃ and an oops or two. ๐Ÿ™ƒ ...but, that didn't stop any of us from pushing forward. Long hot humid days, short nights..

To all that are following our competition journey, thanks for coming along. We, and the horses are having a great time!






Now we wait for the next opportunity to grind in the dirt, challenge the horses and watch them shine in the arena.

The loooong awaited time has come! We are prepping for the Oklahoma State Fair!!!

In April of 2023, Marc Pankow took a cold call, listened to the pitch and said: "Yes, I think this is something we could consider." Oh, boy...๐Ÿค—

We took her lead, answered her questions, sufficed the requirements and in March of 2024(yes, almost a year later!!) it was a done deal and the event was solidified!

We are bringing draft horse awareness, South'ish!! ๐Ÿคฃ

The requirements per event, or class was there needed to be a minimum of 3 entries. We knew this wouldn't be a problem, but bless Marc's heart, she had some hesitation on whether or not we could 'bring it'.

Well, let us tell you. There are 10, TEN competitors and 24 horses coming from Texas and Kansas and every event/class has ATLEAST nine competitors! We have tripled the required number; and for a first year show this is amazing!

A big shout out to the Kansas crew:
Eli, Todd, Tristan, Azsher Keenan, Clay.

And us North Star peeps:
Brian, Logan, Mike and Tifani.

We are so appreciative of the folks coming South to support this event; and immensely indebted to those hauling in equipment!! Howard and Chuck aren't competing this go around, but they are bringing equipment down for us to borrow. A thank you, also to Tristan and his family for contributing some equipment, too.

The Kansas State Fair was so much fun! We say this every time, but it's true...we really do love the friendships us Texans have with the Kansas and Iowa folks. And the competition is the icing on the cake!

We had some successes and learning curve moments...lol. All in all this year left us with an excitement to return. Lance Fullerton and his crew are just fantastic!

None of these 3 horses had ever been hooked together; but when your horses trust you and are well acclimated they will do as you ask. ๐Ÿ˜ In the beginning you could see them quizzically looking at you, wondering what in the world?๐Ÿ˜†..but then, well, take a look.๐Ÿค— Volume up..the sound of their hooves is all the music you need.๐Ÿ˜Š
