Please be mindful of your fireworks. Not everybody enjoys them like you.
Wild animals, the neighbors cats and dogs, maybe your cats or dogs. Also some of our veterans are disturbed by the sound (PTSD).

🐕 Walk on grass instead of pavement to protect your pet’s paws. If the pavement is to hot for you to walk barefoot then it is to hot for your dog to walk on the pavment also. PAWright cares about their comfort. 🌱🐾

Fourth of July pet safety tips

The Fourth of July can be stressful for pets due to fireworks, gatherings, and other festivities. Here are some tips to help keep your pets safe and comfortable during the celebrations:

1. Create a Safe Space
Indoor Haven: Keep pets indoors in a quiet, secure area of your home.
Comfort Items: Provide their favorite bed, toys, and a few treats to create a comforting environment.
Soundproofing: Close windows, draw curtains, and play soothing music or white noise to mask the sound of fireworks.

2. Identification
ID Tags: Ensure your pet is wearing a collar with an up-to-date ID tag.
Microchip: Verify that your pet's microchip information is current. This can be crucial if they get lost.

3. Exercise and Feeding
Exercise: Walk dogs and engage in playtime earlier in the day to help reduce their energy levels.
Feeding: Feed your pets before the festivities start to prevent them from getting stressed and not eating later.

4. Firework Safety
Avoid Fireworks: Keep pets away from fireworks displays and areas where people are setting off fireworks.
No Fireworks Play: Never use fireworks around pets. They can cause severe burns or trauma if ingested.

5. Party Precautions
Guest Awareness: Inform guests not to feed pets human food and to keep an eye on open doors and gates.
Alcohol and Food: Keep alcoholic beverages and toxic foods(like chocolate, grapes, and onions) out of reach from your pets.

6. Comfort and Calm

Supervision: Keep a close watch on your pets outside, especially during peak fireworks.

8. Check the Yard
Secure Fencing: Ensure your yard is safe with no loose boards or gaps where pets could escape if frightened.
Remove Hazards: Clear the yard of firework debris before letting your pets out.

9. Emergency Plan
Vet Information: Have your veterinarian's contact information handy, in the event of an emergency.
Know the location of the nearest Emergency Veterinarian Hospital
First Aid Kit: Keep a pet first aid kit readily available.

WHY DOES MY DO EAT GRASS?

Dogs eating grass is a common behavior that has intrigued pet owners and scientists alike. There are several theories as to why dogs might engage in this behavior:
1. Nutritional Needs: One hypothesis is that dogs might eat grass to supplement their diet with certain nutrients, such as fiber. Wild dogs and wolves are known to consume the entire prey, including the stomach contents of herbivores, which often include grass and plants. This could suggest an innate behavior to balance their diet.
2. Digestive Aid: Some dogs may eat grass to help with digestion or to induce vomiting if they are not feeling well. Grass can irritate the stomach lining, which might prompt the dog to vomit and potentially expel something causing discomfort.
3. Behavioral Reasons: Dogs might eat grass out of boredom, This is particularly true for dogs that do not get enough physical or mental stimulation.
4. Evolutionary Behavior: There is also a theory that this behavior is evolutionary, inherited from their wild ancestors who consumed a variety of foods to survive. This instinctual behavior might persist even though modern dogs have well-balanced diets.
5. Natural Instinct: Some experts believe that dogs might eat grass as a natural instinct to cleanse their system. Eating grass might help clear out parasites or other intestinal pathogens, even if the dog does not necessarily have them at the time.
6. Like the Taste: Maybe they like the taste. Make sure the area they are eating grass has not been chemically treated. If you wanted to plant some “cat grass” in a planter just for your pup. You may also want to add green beans or carrots to their food.
While occasional grass eating is generally not harmful, excessive consumption could indicate an underlying issue, such as dietary deficiency or gastrointestinal problems. If a dog is frequently eating grass and showing signs of illness, it is advisable to consult a veterinarian to rule out any health concerns.

Protect bunny nests do'nt "save" the babies.

🐰Cottontails are being found Everywhere ! Here, pictures are examples to protect the bunny nest for 14days before they move along. Letting mama IN to feed while keeping predators OUT. You may never see mama she’s like a stealthy ninja 🥷 Only feeding twice a day, not being seen. And if you are still worried if she’s coming by - apply this technique - place flour or sticks around the baby nest and if disturbed you know she’s come by!
