Lovingly referred to as "the twins", Flora (now Stella) and Florian are off to their new homes, but they will stay in our breeding programme. With a litter this nice, it's impossible to keep just one 😁

You'll be hearing more about these two in the future. We are extremely grateful to our guardian homes who raise our breeding prospects with so much love and care, giving them the individual attention and "normal" dog lives they deserve. We can't wait for them to come back to visit us ❤️

We took our sweet time announcing them since we had our hands full with 11, but Nola and Takoda's "Great" babies are here! 🤎🖤 Pictured here with their nicknames, but can you guess who they are named after? 📚

Our first time welcoming a dark rainbow, and their super shiny straight coats are even more beautiful in person. Nola is a fantastic mother, just like grandma Alba! 11 is a lot, but she makes it look easy. A breeder's dream 🥰

Our eyes are starting to open, but before we meet the world for the first time you get to meet us 🌟

Alba and Gotti's 9 little treasures are approaching 2 weeks old. The last two weeks have been blissful 🥰 Alba is a fantastic mother, and the puppies are so happy they seem to smile in their sleep.

Those who know me know that I put a lot of thought into their official names. The names of this litter were inspired by a magical forest, which seems fitting as spring arrives and the flowers come back 🌸 Faye, little fairy, is named after her grandmother Fee. Fiammetta, despite being born almost 24 hours after her oldest brother, has lived up to her name ("little fiery one") and hasn't missed a beat.

We welcomed 9 beautiful babies from Alba and Gotti 🐶💛🧡🤎🤍 Alba took her sweet time, and the first puppy was born Saturday evening and the last on Sunday afternoon making the oldest chocolate boy almost a full day older than his little warm caramel sister.

They don’t have names yet, apart from the last girl who will be Fiammetta 🧡 an Italian name meaning “little fiery one”. She was born in the office of our Italian vet, since so much time had passed we had to make sure she was still there! Her heart rate was low, so we helped Alba push her out as quickly as possible. Her birth was certainly dramatic, but she came out strong like her siblings and I could hear her scooting around in her box on the car ride home looking for the milk bar 🥰

Alba and I are so proud of Lilo (Alba x Sirius) who has become a Reading Education Assistance Dog! The "Lesehund" project offers schoolchildren the opportunity to read to a dog, increasing the child's confidence and making reading extra fun 📖

Lilo and her owner Frauke will soon begin their volunteer work. This is a lovely project, and I'm sure Lilo will enjoy her new job very much. Go team Frauke & Lilo! 🌟

The weekend grooming clients! These beautiful ladies are sisters - daughters of Nour and Lou 🥰 I think one looks just like mom and the other just like dad. Big thank you to their wonderful families for bringing them back to see me and for their continued trust 🐶

The dogs are suffering from the hot weather 🥵 so they deserved something special!

Bone broth can be frozen into cubes or added to water to encourage the dogs to drink enough 😊 A few spoonfuls mixed into the food encourages picky eaters, who may want to eat even less in this weather. It’s also a doggie superfood, promoting a healthy gut, liver, skin and coat and boosting the immune system!

Here’s the recipe:
1 whole chicken (organic/bio)
Handful of mushrooms (we used oyster mushrooms)
Handful of Brussels Sprouts (or another cruciferous vegetable like broccoli)
Splash of unfiltered apple cider vinegar
3-4 whole garlic cloves
Handful of chopped parsley
Handful of chopped coriander
Cover in water and boil, or throw it in the pressure cooker for an hour. Be careful to remove all of the bones. Then it can be blended, or the chicken meat can be fed separately. Very easy to make and a big morale booster for the pups 😋

Atlas, acing all the tests! A positive titer test means that he is considered protected after only one round of puppy vaccines. We will test again in a year!

Happy 5th birthday AND happy retirement to our first Cobberdog and leader of our pack, Nour! 🥳

Nour joined our family before we embarked on our breeding adventure, and we chose her as our family dog, not a breeding prospect. Funnily enough, she passed her health tests with the most impressive results we've seen - OFA excellent hips, and eyes so perfect the vet took photos of her retinas to show his students. Sometimes the best things aren't planned.

Nour gave us 27 beautiful puppies and 4 gorgeous breeding prospects for the future. Now she is our family dog. She will spend her days chasing balls, bossing around the other dogs, and being the best grandmother to the next generation of lucky pups.

Not a fun celebration today as she recovers from her sterilisation surgery, but we will take her on a special holiday to the Ardennes next month. Nothing but the best for this girl who has brought so much joy to so many people

Our hopeful standard-size stud for the future, and the kind of dog that reminds me why I started this project and gives me strength to endure. I see Balder in his build and colouring, but when he looks into my eyes I see Alba. If only I could show his character in a photo!

The puppy test is complete, and these cuties are one step closer to joining their new families! Even though I knew these puppies were special, it was amazing to see them face a new place, scary objects, and strangers with excitement and curiosity.

Thank you Anouck Vet Ethology for your expertise in helping me match these babies to families that are a perfect match. These pups have very bright futures ahead of them, and they will change the lives of their humans for the better ☀️

Time to introduce our babies! The photography equipment is still packed in moving boxes, but I couldn’t miss the chance to capture these little darlings before they grow up too quickly. 2.5 weeks old now, and I see so much of their parents in them!
