TT Canines TTC based in North Yorkshire, we specialise in working with even the most challenging of dogs.

A long video warning 😂 🥎 A lot of owners have problems getting things off their dogs. Key rules for teaching an “out”. 1/ Never chase your dog with toys in their mouths, 2/ when playing with toys, always have two identical toys, and you always have control of at least one of them (check out ‘Two Ball’ video on my Patreon page) 3/ it’s a game ! Not conflict. 4/ my toy is better than your toy attitude 👍

I know I always bang on about ‘it’s the owners job to control the outcome’. So I do let my dogs play intensely, however, my rule of thumb is, if I can’t stop it, I don’t let it start. So Reggie and Gas kick ass at play / rough and tumble. However, Iv noticed Reggie gets frantic and Gas is pinning with intent, so I find myself stepping in more and more often as time goes by. I don’t want to ‘just let them get on with it’ as that may end in a fight I will find difficult to repair. It happens all the time , I speak to lots of people who ‘let their dogs sort it out’, and now, they live in a stressful situation that means they are constantly micro-managing, so take control, be the leader, and guide your dogs about acceptable levels of ‘play’.
