Dogs spend their lives learning how to exist in a world made for humans, and for pet dogs, that often consists of humans insisting that they suppress their natural behaviors. And dogs- magical creatures that they are- display incredible levels of adaptability and resilience to meet and surpass our requests.

In exchange for the unmatched companionship and selfless loyalty gifted to us by dogs, embracing and providing outlets for their natural behaviors is the least we can do. Barking, digging, chasing, and chewing can be challenging behaviors if not properly directed, but they are not problem behaviors on their own.

Dogs don't understand 'don't'
This is why saying 'no' making interrupting noises and using punishment ,startling your dog out of a behavior never works
It doesnt help the dog understand what you do want them to be doing instead and it doesnt help our relationship with them at all

Help your dog understand what behavior you do want and reinforce and reward that. Make it fun for them and rewarding !
It helps the dogs confidence and your relationship with them so much!
First and always; Meet your dogs needs
Daily exercise
Time outside to sniff and explore
A nutrient diet with a variety of healthy fresh foods
Time together doing things you both enjoy
Time for rest and calm
Letting your dog be a dog ❤️🐾
