Some things I use;
Bone broth
Probiotic cottage cheese
Kefir
Freeze dried raw toppers
Berries
Farmers Dog and OC Raw

Less peanut butter and fillers

Work with a force free trainer tor help strengthen the relationship you have with your dog
Spend more time learning about your dig rather than expect them to be learning about you
Go on long sniff walks
Go on hikes together
Find new fun ways for your dog to get enrichment, get creative and have fun with it
And most of all. Let your dog be a dog! ♥️🐾

A dog's sense of smell is mind boggling!
They use their nose to 'see' the world because its their primary sense
They have up to 300 million scent receptors compared to our 6 million
Part of their brain is dedicated to analyzing scents that approximately 40x that of ours
Dogs also have something called neophilia, which means they are attracted to new and interesting odors.
When we exhale through our nose, we send the spent air out the way it came in, forcing out any incoming odors. When dogs exhale, the spent air exits through the slits in the sides of their noses. The manner in which the exhaled air swirls out actually helps usher new odors into the dog's nose. More importantly, it allows dogs to sniff more or less continuously.
If we could smell a teaspoon of honey in a cup of coffee our dogs could smell that same teaspoon of honey in an Olympic sized swimming pool
If we can sniff stew, the could smell every single ingredient
Dogs can move their nostrils independently
They can smell; cancer, diabetes, and changes in our emotions
They can pick up whats currently going on in their environment but even something that happened a week ago
Dogs use sniffing to gather information which can be calming and confidence building. It lowers heart rate and reduces cortisol levels.

So we owe it to our dogs to get them out every day tfor not just get physical exercise but uninterrupted sniff time. This absolutely has to be part of their every day
Have a long lead and allow your dog to decide where to go and at what pace. Let them sniff as long as they need. Be the silent observer during this time
Just let them use their super sniffer and be their true doggie self . Its truly one, if not THE, best thing you can do for them
