Meet Marla, the Energizing Puppy!

Marla is your typical puppy—bursting with energy, love, and a zest for life! She is around 1 year old and 25lbs! This adorable doll thrives on playtime, especially outside where she can run, chase after toys, and soak up the fresh air. She's currently mastering her leash skills and is making great progress! Marla loves other dogs and kids 12+!

Despite facing some challenges, sweet Marla remains a shining light of joy. She has experienced trauma to her right eye, but after two vet consultations, it was determined that while she can't see out of that eye, it’s safe to leave it in. The injury is scarred over and doesn't cause her any pain. With several antibiotic drops, her eye is on the mend.

Marla’s happy spirit is unshakeable, and her playful, loving nature continues to shine through. She's a joyful little pup ready to bring happiness to a loving home!

These fluffy buns are 10 weeks old and were surrendered to Boomer’s Best Buddies after their family had an unexpected litter. They have been lovingly cared for and are very sweet. Brioche has a heartwarming story. She was rescued from a stray colony lovingly known as the Bread Crew when she was just a 2-month-old kitten. From the very beginning, she showed her social and affectionate nature.

This lovely cat has a playful spirit and an affectionate demeanor. Brioche enjoys snuggling up in bed with her foster mom and loves to bring her toys for playtime. Her favorite activities include batting around her beloved bell toys and exploring small objects around the house. She also adores lounging atop her cat tower, observing the world with curiosity.

Brioche is known for her friendly nature with dogs and other cats, although she may take a little time to adjust to new furry companions—typically around a week or two. Once she feels comfortable, her playful side shines through, and she enjoys engaging with her fellow pets in her foster home.

All About the Dogs Rescue

Violet was adopted several months ago and everyone assumed she'd be with her family forever. Unfortunately, sometimes things just don't work out as planned, and it's in Violet's best interests to come back to us. (No negative comments please - they will be deleted.) Tomorrow she will go to boarding until we can find a foster family for her and we don't want her to stay there long! Violet is a pit bull mix (only about 45 lbs) and she's a youngster at only about 1-1/2 years old. She's an active girl and would love an active family to take her out an about and exploring.

She may do best as an only pet, but with slow, controlled introductions could possibly be with a dog of similar size. She should not be in a home with small dogs, cats, or other small animals. She would be happy to live with slightly older (10+ years old) children.

Violet is a smart girl. She knows her basics, and she's spayed and up to date with vaccines. She pulls a bit on a leash but our trainer can work with you on that, as needed. She's crate trained and house trained.

We would like a family with experience with bully breed dogs.

Boomer’s Best Buddies has the sweetest piggy. Meet Skippy!

Skippy is a 2 1/2 year-old short haired piggy who was surrendered to a local animal control when his owner could no longer care for him. He was happy to leave shelter life behind him. Skippy is a social guy who let us pet and hold him right away. He was even good for a nail trim, which was long overdue. Skippy seems pretty content by himself if someone is looking for a solo pig. He also seems confident around other friendly animals. Due to his easygoing nature, he’d be a great companion in a home with older children. Sweet Scout is a two-year-old Rhinelander who came to Boomer’s Best Buddies as a surrender when her family could no longer care for her. She is a friendly and affectionate girl who enjoys being pet. Scout is litter box trained, and enjoys having a big indoor pen When she is not free roaming. She has been in a home with dogs and would do fine with respectful children. Scout will be spayed which is included in her adoption fee. We aren’t sure how she feels about other rabbits, but would be willing to do a trial foster to adopt. Mitchy came to Boomer’s Best Buddies as a surrender just after the new year due to a family member’s severe allergy. He’s about 3 years old and a very friendly boy. Mitchy is affectionate and playful. He lived in a house with two female cats and would also do well with children. Mitchy has been neutered, updated on vaccines and is negative for FIV/FeLv. Keaton is not only adorable, he’s packed with personality! This 7 month old Cinnamon mix came to Boomer’s Best Buddies Rescue from a local shelter. His mom was found abandoned back in the spring of 2024 and delivered her babies at the shelter. Keaton grew up there for the first 6 months of his life. He has now been neutered and moved to a wonderful foster where he is thriving. Keaton is very easy-going, enjoys being pet, and gets along well with the dog in the foster home. Looking for a Loving Home for Our Dog Peeve.

"I'm reaching out because we're facing a tough decision regarding our dog Peeve. He is 7 years old, up to date on vaccines, neutered, and fully housebroken.

Peeve is a sweet dog, and we love him dearly, but we're looking for a new home for him where he can thrive, preferably a family without other male dogs. He does not like sharing food or toys with our male dog and, in general is intimidated by male dogs (that are larger than him). He deserves a peaceful, loving environment where he can get all the attention he needs. He's very good with people, looooves 🐈 🐈‍⬛️ and he really is fine with female dogs.

After running around outside for a while he loves to come inside and snuggle up with you. He’s an absolute goofball and believes he is a lapdog even though he’s about 75 pounds.

Friends in CT..there is a current windchill advisory in effect, and therefore, NO dog is allowed to be chained outside. The statue.is Sec. 22-350a. This statue prohibits tethering for longer than 15 minutes.

If you are aware of a dog that is outside and tethered, stand near the dog for 15 minutes, if the dog is not in the house after the 15 minutes, the police are required by law to remove the dog.

At just 8-10 months old (12/6) old and 38 lbs, Tammy is a medium-sized mixed breed with a heart full of love. Twig (green male) & Branch (blue female) are 3 years old. They were surrendered to the rescue when their family could no longer care for them. They are very chatty!
