Siya po yung narescue kanina na lapnos ang ulo. ๐ข Good thing she has interest po for food kahit papano. She is currently confined under critical care sa aming vet sa GPH Veterinary Services.
Tomorrow na po ako magpost ng detailed updates on Abbie pagkakuha ko din ng lab results niya, although naitawag na ni doc kanina. Katatapos ko lang mag-asikaso ng mga rescues at maglinis ng area nila. Aayusin ko din po yung fundsheet ni Abbie then after that yung mga fundraising items na pipicturean at iuupload ko po this weekend.

Keso, a hit and run rescue, remains confined at the vet under critical care. Sinusubukan nilang itest kung oxygen-dependent pa rin siya every now and then, pero sadly, kelangan siyang ibalik sa oxygen box after a few hours dahil bumababa ang SPO2 niya.
Noong dinala siya sa NagVet for emergency treatment, isa sa mga nakita nilang possible cause kung bakit siya naging lethargic ay malnutrition/stravation. Nang inilipat siya sa aming vet at base sa recent tests and examinations, the vet concluded na ang current condition ni Keso ay dahil sa severe malnutrition. Matagal siyang hindi nakakain nang maayos at sapat dala na rin ng injuries nya mula sa pagkakabangga. ๐ Dahil dito, nakain na ang mga muscles niya at maaaring naapektuhan na din ang functioning ng ibang organs gaya ng lungs niya.
Walang nakita sa xrays niya na signs of pneumonia or blockage, kaya't highly possible na kaya siya nahihirapang huminga o mababa ang oxygen concentration sa katawan, ay dahil sa malnutrition.
Kasalukuyan namang inaaddress ang mga ito sa treatment plan ni Keso. Nakabitan na siya ng NGT kung saan dumadaan ang food, naka IV fluids, naka-Oxygen treatment at tuloy-tuloy ang gamutan.
Sa kasalukuyan ay nasa P18,110 ang ongoing vet bills ni Keso at madadagdagan muli ito bukas. Maraming salamat sa mga nagsend ng help so far. May ongoing fundraisers tayo for Keso, sana suportahan po natin ang mga ito. In case you have extra to spare naman po, our donation lines are open for Keso:

It's been a while since Fela started greeting me on her own whenever we go to her hangout place to feed her. Hindi ko pa man siya tinatawag, alam na niyang papunta na ako. This was only last week. ๐ญ๐

Sabi nila the fastest way to earn a cat's trust is through her stomach, pero bakit magfafive months na Fela? ๐
Kidding aside, sa more than four months na yun we've made great progress with Fela - from her being a scaredy cat hiding under cars to a semi-scaredy cat pero lumalabas-labas na at nakikipag-usap na during feeding time with bonus tail wag pa, and from a 1-meter gap to a 12-inch gap. ๐ค
Kahit ang tingin niya sa akin ngayon ay di hamak na "food source", okay lang yun. Alam kong mappromote din ako in time bilang the chosen one. Kelangan ko pang iprove pa lalo sakaniya ang worth ko and what separates me from others. Charot! ๐
Love takes time. May ganyan talaga sa totoong buhay lalo na sa mga feral cats na walang prior socialization with humans. Kelangan ng effort, patience at pagrespeto sa boundaries nila. You don't have to force yourselves on them. They will let you know when they're ready.
P.S. If you see Fela, you can give her food (may nabibiling cat food sa store) but please don't attempt to pet her or go after her dahil takot pa siya at makakalmot lang kayo or madisgrasya siya. Also, please clean up after feeding her para hindi tayo pagbawalan ng management at ng guards na pakainin siya sa area :)

Saw this cat posted 2 weeks ago sa isang group. The cat is obviously asking for help. ๐ Unfortunately, di siya cinontain at hanggang ngayon di pa rin siya nakikita ulit.
To anyone living in La Chesa, Irisan or nearby or just visiting baka makita ninyo yung black cat na ito or baka lapitan niya kayo. Payat siya na may mga sugat sa katawan. If you do, please try to contain or look after until rescue arrives.

Kahit masungit man ang panahon dahil sa bagyo, tinatyaga pa rin namin ni Sherwin na mapuntahan si Fela gabi-gabi nang nakamotor. Alam kasi naming sa mga ganitong panahon, mas konti ang lumalabas at tumatambay na tao kaya mas konti ang nadidiskarte niyang pagkain. At higit sa lahat, alam naming inaantay niya kami.

This video was taken yesterday and sent to me by doc Jill during Chow's feeding. Despite his condition, he still has the initative to eat on his own if offered food.
Just a few bad news though. He seemed weaker today compared to yesterday at present pa rin ang neurological signs. Below normal pa ri ang body temperature. Hindi pa rin siya umiihi on his own kaya kelangang mano-manong ipress yung bladder niya at may blood pa rin wiwi niya so most likely, baka may internal bleeding siya at di pa rin nagresolve. Unfortunately, this also contributes sa pagbaba ng red blood cell count ni Chow kaya lalo siyang naging anemic ๐ Dahil dito gino ko na din yung suggestion ni doc na erythropoetin shot para tulungang pataasin yung RBC niya. It is 1k per shot at uulitin every 2-3 days. Lalo ding tumaas ang WBC count niya despite antibiotic treatment ๐ And lastly, he tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus kaya mas mahina ang resistensya niya.
Still, the vet said he is fighting. Continuous pa rin ang treatment at monitoring sa condition niya. Let's continue rooting for him to overcome this stage despite the odds. ๐๐
