It breaks my heart to have to write this post but sadly a few weeks ago we had to say goodbye to our beautiful little Luna. She has moved away as her owner passed away suddenly due to a heart attack and she is now living with her owner’s family. My deepest condolences to Luna and her family as they come to terms with this tragic and unexpected loss. With permission from Luna’s family, I am able to write this post and wish them all the best going forward. As her walker, I also received payments from her owner after his passing which I will not be keeping and his family have declined to have it returned to them. I have decided to donate this money to Guide Dogs as they are a charity very close to my heart having worked with a Guide Dog myself.
Luna’s owner was a lovely man, although I didn’t see him much, the few times he was home we would often have a nice chat. He was very understanding and supportive of me and Will and happy to be flexible with us knowing we were giving Luna the best care we could. He also gave us lovely gifts at Christmas which really showed how much he cared. One thing that has always been obvious, he loved Luna more than anything in the world. He made sure she always went out for two walks everyday, he built a little doggy service station at his door for Luna’s harness, coat, towel, leads and treats, he always left treats out for me and Will to make sure she had something nice to chew on when we dropped her home, he always kept up with grooming appointments so there was never a hair out of place on her beautiful coat, and I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say she had hundreds of toys! Perhaps that’s why Luna was always so sassy seeing as he’s always treated her like the princess she deserves to be!
Unfortunately, Facebook only allows me to put one video up at a time so I picked my absolute favourite of Luna. My adorable little diva, I will miss you with all of my heart. Seeing you every single day for your walk, your sa
Happy New Year and Happy Birthday to Bertie Boopers on his second birthday! Here’s a lovely video of him and Aero having a play. I hope you have another year of just as much fun Boopers 🎉😊🐾
Introducing our bouncy little lurcher boy Jumble! Jumble has been walking with us since he was 6 months old and instantly became best friends with my 6 month old girl Zama. The two of them spend most of the walk chasing each other, wrestling in the grass and paying no attention to anyone else including their walker! With that said Jumble has come literal leaps and bounds with his recall and now has an almost instant response to his name regardless of what he’s doing. Everyday he gets closer to being a well balanced, mature young dog and we’re so proud of him and the progress he’s made. Keep it up little J 😊🐶
Introducing our gorgeous red spaniel Charlie. Charlie isn’t in Cheltenham often but when he is he has a great time running around with the Waggy Walkers dogs. He usually has quite the busy schedule being a hunting dog and has lots of energy to expend. He’s happy playing with his friends but will gladly go and find you a stick if you ask him! 😊🐶
Now for another introduction and this time I’m introducing two pups. First up is Cynthia the black and white Jackipoo and second is Aero the brown poodle!
Cynthia joined Waggy Walkers over a year ago when she was a young puppy and now at almost 2 years old she’s become such a fantastic young dog. Cynthia was a little bit anxious around other dogs but her walks with us have helped her improve her confidence. She loves to play with dogs her size and will sometimes attempt to play with the bigger dogs when she feels like it!
Aero is a lovely young boy who began walking with us but then had to take time off when he broke his leg. He is such a tremendously well behaved boy who’s been so patient with his recovery. From the first walk, Aero made friends with all the other dogs instantly and they’re all looking forward to seeing him again, especially his best friend Cynthia! 🐶😊
Next up on the introduction list we have our very own slip n slidin’ Bodhi boy! This beautiful 1 year old Labrador is a barrel of laughs and a bundle of fun! Bodhi’s one of the happiest and excited pups to join us and he loves nothing more than to play with everybody. Even with his energy he’s got such a great temperament with all the other dogs and seems to know how to act around every age and size. Now that he’s maturing he’s turning into such a fantastic dog to walk and pretty much every dog I walk likes to play with him too. Keep up the good work big guy! 😊🐶
Now for a long overdue introduction. Luna is a two year old cocker spaniel who’s not only walked with us for almost a year now but has also walked almost every week day since she started. When we first met Luna she loved people but was often very shy and timid around dogs. As she’s walked with us her confidence has grown every single day and while she still has no interest in playing with any of her friends, she can walk with any dog without a care in the world. She’s happy to run around, sniff about and have a Zoomy or two but will also go up and say hi to any new dogs she meets. Immensely proud of how far this little one’s come. Keep it up Luna! 🐶😊
Next up we have a gorgeous Great Dane! 3 year old Bentley has been walking with us for a while now and loves to run around with the other dogs even if it is a bit of a squeeze getting him into a car. Despite his size, Bentley often gets ganged up on by all the other dogs but he just loves all the attention! Everyone knows Bentley and recognises him out on walks, he’s the sweetest and most gentle giant you’ll ever meet! 🐶😊
Finally back to Facebook again and with so many new dogs to introduce! Firstly we have Evie who is a gorgeous 1 year old Cockador who’s been walking with us for quite some time now. Evie loves nothing more than to run around with her friends although her nose can sometimes lead her astray. Luckily we’ve been using a tennis ball to teach Evie some recall and encourage her to stay near her walkers. She’s such a confident little dog and loves to play with the others, even playing with our Great Dane! Keep up the good work kiddo 🐶😊
And now for another late introduction. Meet the beautiful, bouncy, happy chap that is Ramses. Ramses is the tan and white coloured 1 year old Akita and he is just the happiest dog on the planet from his playful little prance to his big goofy grin. Azzy and I take Ramses out so that he can meet all of his friends and they have lots of fun playing with all the neighbourhood dogs. Loving walking you big guy! 🐶😊
Azzy’s having loads of fun this morning! He’s looking forward to our walks in the snow with all his friends 🐶
Having a lovely time on holiday visiting my family back in Ireland! I’m actually looking forward to getting back to all my dogs especially my own. Here’s a lovely video of Monty and Layla’s first walk together playing in the sun! 🐶
