The Inuksuk dog collar with Labrador flag colors in the background part of our Newfoundland and Labrador Collection.

The Inuksuk, historically used for navigation and as a signal, can be found all over Canada as a symbol of our shared history with the Inuit peoples. When designing this collar and leash I wanted to pay homage specifically to Labrador and represent it as best as I could. This collar displays various Inuksuks standing proud on the background of blue, white and green the colors of the Labrador flag. As such, this collar represents the grandeur of the region and its people.

We have had some question about ordering on Etsy so we just wanted to clarify a few things.

You do not need to create an account to shop on the Etsy platform.

As the buyer you do not pay any additional fees it is the seller who absorbs any of the listing fees.

There are no additional or hidden costs if you order from Etsy our prices are set whether you purchase through Etsy, at any markets or shows and at the retailers who carry our product line.

You will see the following message on each of our Etsy listings as all prices are tax inclusive. ***Canadian customers please note that due to a new Etsy policy all prices shown will now include all applicable taxes. The checkout price is inclusive of all taxes and you will no longer see a tax breakdown on your receipt***

As a seller Etsy is our preferred platform for our customers to place orders. We have a page but in all honesty the messages are only checked a few times a week as we are always busy with production and Etsy is the first place that we check daily for messages.

With all the snow falling and drifting sometime our fences go from 6 feet to 3 feet or less. Keep your dogs safe even in the back yard with our multi functional Trail Line. We offer martingale options with most of our collars. Martingales are known mostly for use in sighthound breeds but they are useful for any Houdini dog who knows how to slip out of a collar. It is important that they have the proper size/fit to be effective as demonstrated below in the Hound Ink Art chart.

Our Story

Your Paws Only is a small collar company that opened because of the need for pet gear that was safe and functional, but also fashionable. Located in beautiful Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador, our facility is surrounded by nature trails and the stunning, rugged shoreline of the North Atlantic.

Key to the quality of any pet supply are the components from which it is made and the skilled craftsmanship in its manufacture. We have thirteen years of experience in both researching and testing the best hardware in the industry, and refining our techniques to provide safe, beautiful products to our customers. Components are sourced only from North American suppliers. Our collars are made from 100% nylon webbing because of its superior strength and durability. It holds its color and is soft and gentle on your pet’s skin.

The clasps used in our collars are a mix of Nylon and Acetyl able to hold your strongest puller but still light and contoured for comfort. The hardware we use is either die-cast or welded to hold up to rough trail runs or a shoreline play. We use only industrial thread made for impact. We may be a small home-based business, but our equipment is industry-leading: industrial sewing machines designed for sewing for strength. This combination is what makes a collar as rugged and tough as our beautiful landscape.

We have designed and created many of our own patterns inspired by the culture of our province--a full NL Collection as unique as Newfoundland & Labrador itself, featuring flags, puffins and whales, mummers and more. However, we do not want to limit our customers’ choices, so we are constantly looking for new patterns designed by awarding-winning textile artists from all over the world. You will be delighted by our selection!
