Jake's Journey Finding Forever Homes On Aug. 2, 2015, Jake found his forever home at Friends of Linden Animal Shelter. Now he wants to help others at various rescues find their forever homes.

JAKE WAS ADOPTED ON AUG. 2, 2015. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU! JAKE WANTS TO HELP THE OTHER HOMELESS DOGS WHO ARE STILL IN RESCUE, FIND THEIRS. THUS, WE CHANGED THE NAME OF THIS PAGE FROM JAKE'S JOURNEY TO HIS FOREVER HOME AND WE NOW NAMED IT: "JAKE'S JOURNEY FINDING FOREVER HOMES." THEN JAKE PASSED THE BATON TO RUSTY AND SARA AND THEY ARE WAITING (UPDATE: THEY'RE HAPPILY ADOPTED TOGETHER) FOR THEIR

GREAT ADVENTURE TO THEIR FOREVER HOMES. THEY ARE RETRIEVER MIX SIBLINGS, AGE 6, SHY AND SWEET AND WOULD LOVE AN ADULT HOME TOGETHER OR SEPARATELY THEY NEED TIME TO ADJUST TO PEOPLE, PLACES AND THINGS SO PLEASE BE UNDERSTANDING AND THEY WILL GIVE YOU ALL THEIR LOVE. PLEASE SHARE THEM. THEY HAVE BEEN WAITING AT FRIENDS OF LINDEN ANIMAL RESCUE (FOLAS) SINCE 2011. ONCE THEY ARE AS LUCKY AS JAKE, WE WILL PASS THE BATON TO ANOTHER HOMELESS DOG AT A RESCUE. This handsome, intelligent, affectionate, funny, playful Border Collie mix is waiting way too long now for that special person or family to come along. He is a volunteer favorite, and, as you can see, he loves to snuggle! Cody walks nicely on a leash, knows his basic commands, and would do well in an adult home or one with older children. He prefers to be your only pet, but he can walk past other canines on his walk without a fuss. Meet Ayla!
This little 8-month-old mixed-breed cutie has had quite the journey—from a rough start as a stray in a tough neighborhood to blossoming into a bouncy, happy pup in her loving foster home!

At first, Ayla was scared and shy, unsure of the world around her. But thanks to her awesome foster dog siblings, she's found her confidence and now she’s all about playtime, tail wags, and zoomies! She’s housebroken, crate trained, and fully vetted, so she’s off to a great start.

Ayla would love a forever home with another playful, friendly dog or two to show her the ropes and keep the fun going. She’s still got some puppy energy and can be a little mouthy when she gets excited, so older kids are the best fit. Some basic obedience training would go a long way for this smart, eager-to-please girl.

URGENT! KODA NEEDS A NEW FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME AT BFDAAA.COM AT Best Friend Dog and Animal Adoption, Inc in Cranford, N. J. PLEASE HELP! (His sister, Molly, needs a new foster or forever home, too!)
Koda is a stunning Lab mix who was rescued with his sister Molly from an overcrowded puppy mill situation. Koda was extremely shy when rescued but is now blossoming into a big mush!!! Koda is about one year old and absolutely loves to be outside running in the yard and playing with toys. He is currently learning to walk on a leash and is doing very well. He loves other dogs and would do extremely well in a home with another super-friendly, confident and loving dog who can show him the ropes of home life. Koda is currently in a foster home with his sister but they will NOT be adopted together. Siblings do not do well together when they mature. He lives for the butt scratches and belly rubs and will roll over any chance he gets in the hopes of getting all the pets. He is crate-trained and potty trained. Koda is still slightly shy when meeting people and doesn't do well with commotion so an adult only home or with older kids will be required

Molly is a cute Lab mix who was rescued with her brother Koda from an overcrowded puppy mill situation. Molly was extremely shy when rescued but is working hard to become a social butterfly. Molly is about one year old and absolutely loves to be outside running in the yard and playing with toys. She is currently learning to walk on a leash and is doing well. She loves other dogs and would do extremely well in a home with another super-friendly, confident and loving dog who can show her the ropes of home life. Meet Maximus!!!! He is quite the combination of Chihuahua and Pomeranian. Two of the most opinionated breeds around. Maximus is about 7 years old and has a personality all his own. He is only for experienced Chihuahua or small breed owners. Maximus is just like many of your typical small breeds. Once he knows you, he loves you. He is extremely cute and food motivated which helps in winning him over. Maximus must go into an adult only home with very minimal access to children. He does not do well with commotion, loud noises or anyone rushing up to him. All the things children like to do. His ideal home is a retired couple or individual that can devote time and energy to his needs. Being a semi-senior he does not require extensive exercise or stimulation. A comfy couch, some walks and a lot of treats and he is a happy boy. Maximus has a clean bill of health and recently had a dental so he is ready for his next chapter.
