Jerry needs a new home with a kind person, who’ll give him time to feel at ease as he is a shy and sensitive soul.

He is 8 years young and weighs 17 kg. He has been at the shelter for almost a month.

He needs gentleness and time to approach. When he is confident, he is very affectionate and pushes his muzzle in for cuddles.

Jerry is sociable with other dogs so that’s a real plus and he knows how to walk nicely on a lead without pulling. He enjoys playing ball too - so that can be an inroad to bonding with him.

He will make someone a great companion if they give him time to feel at ease.

JACK needs a forever home – he is a Jack Russell / Fox Terrier cross who is 11 years young. True to breed, he is still energetic and loves walks and company.

Jack is fine with other dogs but like many terriers he is not great with cats. He’ll need daily walks and a garden would be a real plus. He is going to make someone a lovely companion.
He has been chipped, vaccinated and neutered, he also tested negative for leishmaniasis.

Calling lovers of big dogs this week, today we have a Newfoundland cross looking for his forever home. He weighs 30kgs already at 11 months, that can more than double as he matures in to an adult dog. He has been at the shelter just one month.

Ubac is very sociable with people and really enjoys playing with other dogs. As such a young dog, his training needs to be finished by whoever takes him on, in particular teaching him not to jump up and better recall. He is a soft sensitive soul who will need space and ideally a garden to call his own.

Lohrna is a 7-year-old, small hunting dog, most likely a Griffon cross. She has a wiry black & white coat and a sweet face. She has a really easy character, is very sociable and loves people and dogs.
She has been sterilized and is all ready to go and start her new life away from the shelter.

This two-and-a-half-year-old Shih Tzu needs a loving new home, has only recently arrived at the shelter and weighs 7kgs.

This little dog has had a bad start in life and so is fearful and work will need to be done to build her confidence. Once she feels reassured, she shows that she is a lovely dog. She can (and has been) handled without any problem.

She needs patient people in a calm environment. When she feels confident, she walks nicely on a lead, but she will need a small garden too. A new home without other animals is preferred, as it would allow her to have all the love for herself. Out and about she ignores other dogs, but she is not in the habit of them inside.

She has lacked human contact throughout her life, she now has a great need for it and will make the right person a very good companion.

She is good with other animals.

Freddy is a 5-month-old terrier cross looking for the best forever home. He has been vaccinated and chipped. He’s expected to weigh around 15kg as an adult.

He is a puppy, so he needs patient people who are present, walks and play, plus training and socialization. He learns quickly but he will do silly things like all puppies of his age.

He is very sociable with other dogs but Freddy is afraid of children and teenagers, so whoever adopts him will have to work on this. He also barks at cats so that will need work too.

A secure garden is a must and as well as people who are home and have time for him. There will be a questionnaire and a home visit as well as an obligation that he is sterilised around 8 months.
