Update: Our boy Romeo is still available! We have gone through the applications, and he’s had a couple of meet and greets and (through no one’s fault). Nothing seemed to be the right fit for him. He is still couch, surfing, and we really would like a placement for him so he’s not homeless at Christmas time. If you think you could give him a home, please apply in the link in the post below.

Update:

We were able to raise $95 today for the $401 procedure Fancy needs. She will come home on prednisone, and we will continue to raise money for tomorrow. I know we can do this for her. Can anyone donate towards the ending $300 balance? We do have someone willing to try and match if we can raise some money. Thank you!

Update: we have raised $20 out of the $400 needed for Fancy’s sedated exam and drain procedure. She is currently at the vet awaiting treatment. We have a sponsor that is willing to match what we raise!! Please donate or share if you can. Thank you!

Update:

Fancy is at Titan Vet with Dr Michelle. Her ear still has some major swelling, resulting in her ear canal still being closed. The natural drainage from the surgery has pooled into her ear. She needs to be sedated today for a drain to be put in. We need to raise around $400 for her to have the procedure. Can anyone donate for her today?

More about Fancy. She is one of our Senior legacy dogs who has been fighting mass cell cancer. Last week, she had an abscess that swelled to her neck and has been in recovery from that surgery

Good morning. Fancy is excited and getting ready for her vet appointment today.

THANK YOU TO Operation Pawsibility Project, for the donation of Thanksgiving treats for our shelter’s dogs and cats! The cats got a bunch of tuna, toys and treats, and the dogs were gifted with home-cooked meals for Thanksgiving. Very thoughtful, thank you!

Thank you to everyone who made this possible!

Update on our two Thanksgiving Day cases:
We are looking for Sponsors.

Fancy (our senior pup) is heading back to the vet. She will not eat, so she has been unable to take her medications. She received injections on Wednesday and Thursday, and we need sponsors for her injections and appointment today. We need to raise $175 for her meds today. Will anyone please sponsor her?

Romeo has a few applications, and we will be going through them today. He has to find placement today, or he will be heading to boarding. He came with nothing but his bed that his foster had given him. Can anyone sponsor a leash, harness, and crate for his new placement?

Update: We received applications for Romeo, and applicants will hear from us in the morning. He is safe for tonight but will need to move tomorrow

**Urgent placement needed**
Curtesy post

Romeo was returned to us late last night after several weeks in a home. This was through no fault of his own. Apparently, having two dogs and a home full of family for the holiday was going to be too much.
Romeo needs a Thanksgiving Good Samaritan to take him in. He has a fantastic temperament, great with kids and dogs. Medium to low energy. Rides great in the car. Can anyone take him in? We don't want him to spend the holiday alone in boarding.

Welcome to our 7th annual Thanksgiving Meal Shelter Drive 2024!!!

Sunday was a HUGE day for sorting out our supplies in preparation for cook pickup. From here the cooking begins in the homes of volunteers throughout the state. Drivers then will pick up the meals and deliver between today and tomorrow to the animal shelters!!! Stay tuned for our updates throughout the Thanksgiving weekend!
A HUGE thank you to the town of East Providence for allowing us to use their senior center for another year for our supply sorting day. And another huge thank you to all the volunteers who gave up their Sunday getting everything ready for this drive! A GIANT shout out to the donors that flooded the senior center with blanket donations Sunday! We got it done!!

This drive would not be able to run every year without the huge support the community has on this page and the donations made to this event.
