Drumroll please…. Darlin has been !
🥳💜🐶🎉

Darlin was one of our longest residents & was continuously overlooked as she grew from a puppy to an adult.
She developed insecurities along the way and started to become fearful of new people and places. Thanks to our dedicated board members and a fantastic partnership with a local boarding facility, we all worked together to help Darlin overcome her fears!

Once she was ready, she transitioned to a second foster home and settled in beautifully… she had become a whole new dog!
Fosters truly make all the difference in rescue. 💜🫶

We are so grateful for all angles of teamwork & passion that were put into working with this sweet girl. She has truly grown to her full potential.

Darlin was at the end of December and is loved endlessly. She fits right in with their busy family and loves to snuggle her humans up at night still!

Biscuit is working hard to master house and crate training. He has learned how to get on the sofa! Biscuit loves following the adult dog in his foster home all around.

Ginger has made tremendous progress in her foster home! She has learned manners and skills, completed her medical treatments, and made many new friends! 🐶

Meet Ginger!
Female Pittie Mix
Approx 2 years, 50lbs
✅Dog Friendly
No cats or small dogs for this lady

💜She loves the car, adventures, all the people she meets, and she’s the most cuddly dog her fosters have ever met! She will lay right on top of everyone and just loves being right next to you no matter what you’re doing. She’s a happy, loving girl!

Since arriving at her foster home, Ginger has learned:
✔️Sit, Paw, Lay Down
✔️She has learned the word, “Eat” and will wait to eat from her food bowl until her command is given- great impulse control!
✔️She has learned how to play in the yard off leash. Ginger’s fosters have built up her recall and she will not stray in the yard with them.
She is learning how to fetch. Her favorite thing to do is play fetch with two balls in rotation!
✔️She is currently learning, “drop it”.
✔️She knows the phrase, “in the house”. When she hears that, she knows it’s time to drop her toy and wait by the door to come inside!

🐶Ginger is extremely smart and intuitive. She understands many words and phrases, especially the word “food”! She does amazing with an established routine. She sleeps in a separate bedroom and has her own bed, she still needs a treat to go in there at night when it’s time for bed!
Ginger has no accidents and is not destructive even when left alone.

She has had many interactions with different people and she loves everyone she meets! She is working on not jumping with excitement for new friends.
Ginger spends time with a toddler and does amazing, she knows to be more gentle.

Ginger is working on her leash training and has shown improvement with pulling in new surroundings. She is learning the leash isn’t a tug toy!

Ginger has completed her heartworm treatments and is accepting adoption applications!
She will be spayed through the rescue once ready.

THIS IS RESCUE!

🐕Honey Comb and her litter of seven have made amazing progress in just over one week since their arrival! Check out several before and after photos!

❤️THANK YOU to everyone who has donated, shared, and supported our cause!
We could not rescue these severe cases without the support of our community. We have raised almost half of our total goal, every dollar truly makes a difference and goes right to their medical care.
We have in person fundraising events (such as our upcoming Gift Card Bingo to Benefit Rescue Dogs! to hopefully cover the difference towards Honey Combs heartworm treatment, hernia repair and spay. 🤞🤞

🐶The 7 puppies have all gained 2-3 lbs in their first week. They’ve received vet exams, dewormers, love & attention!

❤️Honey Comb’s foster shared the best update with us! Honeycomb has done a 180 this week. She believes the world is an exciting place and instead of crawling down the hallway to come out of the room, she comes out with her tail wagging and can't wait to start a new experience. She loves her walks and looking for squirrels. She's eating well, taking her medicine nicely and her stomach is settling. She loves people and loves her pets!

💜Her absolute favorite thing is to snuggle on the couch under a blanket, making her the perfect cozy buddy for chilly nights.

🐶Aurora is dog-friendly and enjoys the company of other dogs, though she can take a little time to warm up to new furry friends. She is an affectionate soul who adores people, and while she loves children, she would thrive best in a home with older kids due to her energy levels. She sometimes gets excited and could knock over little ones.

🐾Aurora is food and treat motivated, making her an eager learner. She knows "sit" and is learning "shake." She’s also refining her fetch game—although she’s still mastering the art of dropping the toy/ball on command.
Aurora walks great on a leash and enjoys car rides.

✔️She is crate trained, housebroken, and loves settling into a routine, which helps her feel secure. Around 9:00 p.m., Aurora starts to get her adorable droopy eyes, ready for a peaceful night's rest.

Sasha is house and crate trained and enjoys listening to music while crated.
She is now learning the electric fence! She is a smart girl.

Sasha has learned to sit for her food, knows daily routine, understands phrases such as outside and crate. Sasha is a digger and likes to pull grass up with her teeth!

Sasha comes running when she hears the ice machine from the freezer, will sit, get her ice cube and run to her crate with it. 😂
