Over the years I have had many stray animals come across my property. A few we were able to find their owners and have happy reunions and others were to scared and ran away. Facebook is such a great tool for finding lost family members and friends so why not pets. If your pet is missing post a photo and a description and the area you live in and get it out there for others to see. If you see an an
imal that may be lost either take a picture of it or post a description so others may know who that pet belongs to. There are other websites online such as http://masslostpet.net/ and https://www.facebook.com/MassLostPets and a few others but I thought I would start in a generalized area first. Make someone's day SAVE A LOST PET.

A St & Cemetery St
Artemis "Arty". Missing since 3/12/24. She is indoor only, and slipped through an open door. She is mostly white with dark tabby patches and a distinctive spot, and dark striped tail. No collar, but she is microchipped.

Her name is Harvest. She was given away and the owner would like her back. The best information we have is she was given to someone near SE Main St and Yew St. Be on the lookout for this missed cat and report any sightings.

Please beware of SCAMS going around of lost pets. Sometimes with photo's (that are not theirs) and sometimes without any photos or info on where it happened and hardly any responses from the poster. You can do a reverse photo check also. DO NOT SHARE unless you click on the posters name and view their profile. Usually there is no photo and they just joined FB that day and have no friends etc. That is a huge RED FLAG. Sharing these posts can subject you to malicious malware. I saw one this morning on a Massachusetts Lost pet site. They never said where dog was hit by car and missing, it was all vague information and with hardly any responses to the messages pouring in for more information. The more you click and share the more people involved in the scam. They will attach malware later on once they get a lot of shares on the post. Just be aware. These happen all the time with lost pets and lost children tugging at our heart strings. BEFORE YOU SHARE, BE AWARE. If you come across someone's profile that has no friends, just joined that day etc report to the page they are on as Fake. Get attention of the admins to remove the post.

Potter Rd / Pond St / Caswell Court, Manchaug.
His name is Carlos. He will come to a high pitched “Kitty kitty kitty!” His tracker collar came off, he only has a grey flea collar. Seems to hang between Douglas and Manchaug but could be near Caswell Court or Pond St. He is microchipped. He likes his ears and head touched but not much else. Will act like he loves you, then becomes Edward Scissor Hands. He went missing before, 9 days. Be on the lookout and report any sightings.

FOUND CAT: This handsome intact male cat was trapped by a resident in the area of Tarkiln/Nichols Rd about 10 days ago and given to a woman who thought it could be her missing cat. However, once at home, she realized he was not her cat and he has now been brought to the shelter. If this is your cat or you know where he belongs, please contact us at 401-568-9480.

Cedar St
Okami neutered male cat, gray / brown and white tabby, about 5 years old. Escaped out of a window with an a/c unit. Moved here from Mexico in August and is EXTREMELY skittish. Is probably in my yard but I am temporarily disabled and not able to look for him. He was born with a congenital eye defect, and his vision is impaired. Be on the lookout.
