Everyone is staying in this morning! Warm oatmeal all around for the pigs!
Keeping everyone safe and warm is a challenge when it’s this cold. All the bird houses have heat and the birds stay inside. The pigs bury themselves and snuggle together in deep straw (the special needs pigs have heat). The four legged fur people get coats if they show signs of being cold, and they all have their houses and straw to lay in. These bitter cold temps are hard on everyone, even the wildlife. We feed the wild birds and make sure all the wild animals have access to water. Hang in there friends!

From spring-like weather to preparing for the deep freeze!

Keeping the pig people warm means lots of straw for them to snuggle in and under! They all love fresh straw and building their warm nests! We’re getting everyone tucked in today for the next few days of extreme cold! 🥶

All of us humans are sick at the sanctuary this week. 🤒 Don’t worry, all the animals are well and taken care of but we’re taking it slow and snuggling in with these cuties who definitely help make us feel better. ❤️

How is it possible the the cutest little guy, Opie, still doesn’t have a sponsor?

Opie is such a character! His personality is as silly as his furry little face! We always say Opie does what Opie wants! Which is how he became Captain Dan’s BFF when he broke into his pen and snuggled next to him in bed. The rest was history. Opie moved into our hearts and Danny’s home. But he would still love a sponsor!
