“Trendy”
If you watched the “live feed” this last 2 weekends- you’ll know why I get choked up with this redhead. She moves like Jemma (and Grandma Vogue). Being on the end of her leash is magic. Today the judge pulled me aside and told me she almost gave her Breed (over Rock!! And several other really nice specials). As with her brother- y’all KNOW they just aren’t that trained. They ARE learning that suffering a bath and showing their bite gets REALLY good treats!

“Dandy”
In just 2 weekends out- he’s taken WD every single time he’s walked in the ring- battled his sister for BOW (and usually won 😘) and has both his majors. Two different judges almost put him up for Breed over 5 special dogs and a couple special B’s.
If you know me- you KNOW this 6 1/2 month old puppy is NOT trained. We are out having fun and being silly and eating snacks!

Of course Rock was “in”, with room to spare, as always. It was a really nice breed win over a pretty packed field of nice specials. 

Allow me a moment to whine on my soapbox (and explain why I ADORE Channing Sheets SO much!).
Can I tell you how weary I am of judges not using a dog in the line-up because they don’t “think” they’re “in”? And they don’t take the time to measure!!! And if I hear one more time that “they use a chair, because it’s 18 inches” or “they know how big their hands are”, I may scream. 🤬😤🤬😤🤬

As my friends get ready for the SUPERBOWL of the dog world- WESTMINSTER!! I am only a tiny bit jealous as we stay home this year. But there’s a good reason, and it’s because of these sweets. Announcing our new babies. Yes- they’re all spoken for.
Note: While this is the only Platinum to Platinum breeding to date (that I know of), it is a complete outcross- so this could be a total toss-up! 🤣

Rose City Wrap Up

3 different dogs shared BOB
& an additional 4 got a piece of that with BOS
Add another 5 to the lineups with Selects and another 1 with AOM.
Plus another 3 with BOW
Those are all different dogs in the final line-ups!

That’s 16 DIFFERENT dogs/bitches out of 25 opportunities for placements.

(& 3 more for Winners D/B placements)

What that tells me is- (in my never to be humble opinion) - is that this region boasts HUGE entries of REALLY REALLY NICE DOGS.
Congratulations- to everyone honestly-
The competition was deep in quality. Thank you Robin Hug for the lovely comments about the entire entry, (& especially the BBE dog class😘).
