Sideways on the ground helps to improve suppleness & develops the abductor & adductor muscles, which improves ridden lateral work. There are no quick fixes in correct dressage training! Learning how to balance, apply aids, and not get in the horse's way, are fundamental to positive results for the rider and the horse.
