SNIP International is a UK registered charity dedicated to improving standards of animal welfare around the world. In particular SNIP International promotes neutering programmes aimed at stray and feral animals. Over the last fifteen years we have donated specialist catching, trapping and holding equipment to animal welfare groups in almost 60 countries. We are also supporting training programmes

for vets and helpers. The emphasis is mainly on stray and feral cats, but we are also doing some work with dogs.

Right now, we are facing possibly the greatest challenge to cat welfare due to overpopulation that we have seen in decades.

Praising 💛

We promised to share with you our post weekend in

We enjoyed being able to relax after the fun but hectic conference and to swim in the sea (without opening hours from 10am to 6pm 😉). We went snorkeling and were lucky to observe plenty of colourful fish (i.e. pipefish & cuttlefish) and a large sea turtle! 🤎

We also enjoyed spotting and counting the feline population. You read it right: we ENJOYED it 😍😍😍 because

😻 17 out of 20 cats we spotted were so also ed (the 3 exceptions were all young male cats)
😻 even an owned cat (with a collar) was eartipped (owned free roaming non-sterilized cats is a source of stray cats so better address it by including it in the plan)
😻 the cats were overall in good condition
😻 the cats were friendly so people must be kind to them
😻 there were feeding stations and water for the cats.

So in that sense is an for a 🩵 We are sure that it’s a big plus for the
However, we are well aware that the ones that need to be thanked are the !
Bravo! 🙏💕

We hope that government and municipalities could be more supportive for these groups and take as a serious topic in their programme.

That applies also to many other countries whose economy depends on
We are more and more people who cannot go to places where we see animals suffering in misery.

If you know any other places where the cat and/or dog population is well managed, please let us know 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

We advocate for eartipping as it is a very easy way to know which cats have already been spayed/neutered and avoids having to put them in vain through the stress of being trapped and sometimes even anaesthised (and in the worst case opened up!) only to find out they were already fixed.

We will share with you some pictures of cats in that we visited just after the conference on

But here some facts by Alley Cat Allies.

An eartip is the universal sign that a cat has been spayed or neutered through a Trap-Neuter-Return ( ) program! No other method is as effective.
