Hobo, a middle-aged Border Collie, was taken to the vet to be euthanized simply because his family was getting a divorce. Thanks to our friends at and our 15 volunteers who helped transport him across six states from Oklahoma to Pennsylvania to get one step closer to his new home this weekend.

Sam and Stella were taken off the streets of Louisiana by Animal Care and put in a high kill shelter. They were pulled by a rescue and spent a few weeks in foster care before heading north to get one step closer to their furever homes this weekend.

Thanks to all of our volunteers for getting this transport done despite the crazy weather and bad driving conditions in the northeast!

Sequoia is a young Malamute who was surrendered by his owner in Utah and picked up by foster in California last year. His previous owner did not name him and left him outside in a chicken coop. After being in rescue foster for the past several months, getting well and healthy, he just completed his journey to his new home in Oklahoma.

Thanks to all of our volunteers for another successful transport!

Scout and Scully were rescued while being given away on the street by some young kids who were looking for a place to dump them. 💔 But thanks to several amazing volunteers, they spent a few weeks in foster care and then embarked on a two day road trip this weekend, which just concluded when they were safely transferred to a rescue partner in Indiana.

Thanks so much to all of our volunteers, who consisted of 13 drivers in 5 states, an overnight caregiver, and our friends at Canine Haven Rescue, Inc for everything this weekend 🐾🐶

RACE4Ran is a 501(c)(3) that works in conjunction with Miranda Lambert's MuttNation to coordinate volunteer rescue relay transport and provide monetary vet assistance. In 2024, we've already granted over $60,000 in assistance thanks to our partners and donors. This is our best year yet!

All donations are tax-deductible with the majority of funds from grants, donations, and fundraisers going towards our monetary assistance program, as well as the occasional gas/mileage reimbursement for drivers who really want to drive but need some help and for any last-minute accessories that may come up needed for our rescue transports!

WE need YOUR help to be able to continue to help pets and their families when they really need it, and in getting animals to safety in rescues or new homes!! If you're unable donate right now, sharing is extremely helpful and so greatly appreciated! WE can't do any of this without YOU!

Another showcasing of our recent grant assistance recipient!

We have Honey (first three pics), a 1 year old cat that was adopted back in May 2024. Unfortunately, another cat was adopted into the household and spread a viral infection to Honey. The virus caused corneal ruptures, descemetocele, and conjunctivitis in both of Honey's eyes. Her family tried various eye treatment medications but nothing worked... one morning Honey’s eye ruptured and enucleation was required. Her family reached out to us for some help and we're happy to report that she's healthy and doing well!

Our other feline grant was for Luka, another 1 year old and very handsome Maine C**n! He was admitted to the emergency vet for a blood transfusion because of severe anemia. He was hospitalized and able to get medical treatment, including a blood transfusion, and is currently doing well and still loves to play as you can see from the video!!
