Skills are important, sure. But if someone doesn’t feel like part of the team, even the most talented people will struggle. It’s not just about what they can do, it’s about how they feel about where they work.

Nobody wants to walk into a job blind, especially in a busy clinic where mistakes can be costly.

A good onboarding process gives clear answers to two key questions right from the start:

➡️ What’s expected of me? ➡️ Are these people cool?

🌳 We had a great time yesterday at our Paws in the Park charity dog walk.

Sunshine (yes, really!), smiles, and plenty of selfies—couldn't have asked for better. It was brilliant catching up with old friends and meeting some new faces along the way.

Huge thanks to everyone who turned up. Every step, every pound raised is making a real difference. So far, we’ve raised £367 for Woodgreen Animal Shelter, helping them continue their vital work.

Woodgreen’s mission is simple but so important—keeping pets from ever becoming homeless. With pet abandonments at a three-year high, they’re providing hope and brighter futures for so many animals.

In my hospitals, we have a new graduate come in with us for half a day to do some in-practice interviews, but we will toss them in with the nurses and technicians and then rotate them into an operating theatre with one of our vets and have them do a little bit of surgery too.
