We leave food and water out nightly for our neighborhood ferals and strays. Last night, a weary, orange cat showed up for the first time. He allowed us to pet him so, we knew he was not feral and therefore didn't belong on the streets. So we swooped him up, brought him inside, and set him up in a kennel. After eating his dinner, the poor guy just fell fast asleep.
All we know about him so far is that he is a sweetheart, he's been on the streets for a long time since he's so skinny and dirty. He looks like he's been beaten up a few times by our neighborhood ferals, and he is not neutered or microchipped.
We've named him Harrison. He's scheduled to see the vet on Friday. We look forward to learning more about him and getting him dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
We literally had an adoption in the morning and took Harrison in the same night! Pictures were taken when we brought him in. His kennel now has a small cat tree, bowls, and a comfy bed.
We're hoping this will be the beginning of a much better life for Harrison! If you are able to contribute to Harrison's expenses, we'd greatly appreciate it!
