-Soften to Pressure-
From the bottom of your feet to the tip of your ear. Any brace or skiddish reaction to pressure will eventually come back to cause problems. Take your time and work to soften the entirety of your horse.

Unique opportunity for you and your horse! Every once in a while something really out of the box and exciting comes along with horses and this is one of them. CADAVER/SCENT training for you and your horse (mostly the horse, they can smell better than we can) This two day event will walk a horse and rider team through the training process to train a search and rescue team with both live and cadaver finds. There is not much like this experience that i have encountered in the horse world and would reccomend it as something to try with any horse! Spots limited. How about helicopter proof? Our team did rotorcraft training this weekend, desensitizing these horses to helicopters to allow them to work successfully in the field. Duke is a 4 yr old QH who is member of the PBSO Mounted Unit who is here at Tailwind Trails in training with us at Ackerly Equestrian Services. The other two horses are Busby and Annie, who are the first two members of the newly formed Peace River K9 Search and Rescue Association Inc. East Coast Equine Equine Scenting Team. Busby is a 3 yr old Friesian ridden by XTA Mounted Patrol Academy founder April Milner and Annie is a 5 yr old Friesian Sport Horse ridden by her daughter, Tess.
