FIDO's Companion Rescue Inc. FIDO's Companion Inc. Weekly we rescue dogs as well from many other rural county shelter in mid and southern Ohio and KY before they are put to sleep.

is a small non-profit 501(c)3 organization operating in Lorain County made up of volunteers who perform vital functions in the process of rescuing animals. We primarily rescue dogs from the streets in our County and County Dog Pound or ill/injured dogs coming into our Vet Clinic from Cuyahoga County. We secondarily assist with taking in homeless stray dogs and funding the spay/neuter of homeless d

ogs and cats for other independent local rescuers and vet clinics who take them in off the street and work to rehome them. Lastly, we help fund the Spay/Neuter of dogs that low income owners cannot afford. FIDO's Companion rescue strives to find new adoptive families willing to make a lifetime commitment and be lifetime companions for each dog we rescue. Our focus is on the QUALITY of life we provide to one canine companion at a time. FIDO's Companion believes that the value of what we do is not in the Quantity of animals we save, but in the Quality of the new life we provide to them. We also know we cannot rescue our way out of pet overpopulation, therefore, we work in our rescue and with our community to ensure spay/neuter is achieved for animals we come into contact with or are made aware of needing altered. We also strive to educate the public including school age children about humane treatment of animals and the importance of spaying and neutering pets

Rana is a 3 year old, 37 pound Australian Cattle Dog mix who is fully vetted, crate & potty trained.

Rana has spent most of her life outdoors, so everything about indoor living is new to her — but she's taking it all in with a quiet grace and gentle spirit. She finds comfort in her crate.

Rana is a reserved girl who may take a little time to warm up, but her sweet nature shines through in the soft looks she gives and the calm presence she brings. She’s looking for a patient and kind-hearted human who will give her the time and space she needs to feel safe and loved.

She gets along well with other respectful dogs and even cats, and would likely enjoy the quiet companionship of a furry friend. Rana isn’t the type to demand attention — she prefers cozy corners, gentle encouragement, and peaceful surroundings.

Meet Chicken Wing!

Chicken Wing is a 2 year old, 38 pound Jack Russel mix who is fully vetted, crate (hes a pro!) & potty trained.

Chicken Wing is currently majoring in Manners 101 at his trainer’s house, and he’s already crushing it – on day one, he nailed “place,” “sit,” "drop it" "come" and “down” like a straight-A student. He also walks like a dream on a leash!

He’s a high-energy, quick-learning goofball who prefers his canine companions to be polite and drama-free. While he’s not the life of the dog park party yet, he’s cool with well-mannered dog friends – just don’t expect him to play tug-of-war… he’s got tennis balls to chase.
