An AMAZING update from the last Lemon x Red litter!

“In November of 2023 we adopted a sweet little 3 year old who had several medical conditions. We knew immediately she was in the right place and home with us. As we grew to love her we noticed she would really benefit from a service dog so we began looking into it. Shockingly we saw the cost of service dogs and the long process to get one. Our sweet girl needed one now, not in 3-4 years.
While searching a co-worker posted about their family member being a breeder for Golden Retievers and that they had puppies available. I saw it and felt like it was meant to be. I immediately messaged Midwest Golden Retrievers and started the process to get our girls service dog!
Now they didn't pitch their puppies as service dogs. At all. In fact, I told them that is what we were looking for in the puppy and they told us they don't necessarily breed them for service but do know Goldens are known to be great service dogs. But I didn't care. I was determined.
Just a few days later we drive and hour and a half and picked up our sweet Hope.
We fell in love instantly. So much so that we felt our son could really benefit from a service dog as well so we messaged them again and they had 2 pups left. We took one of the 2! Headed back and got our sweet Shiloh!
At 10 weeks old they began their training. These puppies may have been the smartest puppies ever. The training company (Dog Training Elite Cincinnati) was so impressed with them they asked where they came from! At just 6 months of age both dog were fully serviced and certified for both of our kids!
They are both the absolute best dogs ever. They tolerate our kids who have hard days and big feelings. They know when they are working and know when they are puppies. They are the most loving and cuddly and smart and sweet dogs you will ever meet.
We couldn't be happier with our choice to go with Midwest Golden Retrievers-so much so that I can't wait for another litter to come in.
Afterall...the more the merrier, right?!

Maple might be the most, uhm, special dog we have ever had. She carried this stick for her entire walk this morning with it wrapped around her head and holding her lip up. Needless to say everyone passing us was laughing, including me. 😅 notice Maya looking normal and adorable per usual- she still doesn’t claim Maple as hers 😂
