SUSPECT IDENTIFIED - SEEKING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE

Detectives have identified the man shown above as 35-year-old Joseph Michael Sanders. Sanders is the suspect shown on video footage kicking a small dog on Sunday, April 7, 2024, near Brookhrust St. and the I-5. Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for felony animal cruelty and are seeking the public’s assistance with locating him.

🟠Breed-specific legislation continues to fall out of favor!🟠

On October 17, the city council in Watertown, Tennessee UNANIMOUSLY voted to REPEAL the city's TWENTY-FIVE year-old ban on "pit bulls."

The council adopted a breed-neutral vicious animal ordinance to replace the long-standing discriminatory law.

Per the City Clerk, the change took effect IMMEDIATELY!

THANK YOU, Watertown, for recognizing that a dog's breed does not dictate whether he or she poses a danger to the community, and instead focusing on the actions and behaviors of ANY dog, regardless of breed.

Another one bites the dust!!
