It is with a heavy heart that I must share Jasper the Pit Bull has crossed over the rainbow bridge today. He was the greatest dog, and the last 11 years and 11 months were not enough time. I’m going to miss you friend.

Can you help Rocket beat parvo? 🙏

A week ago, a sweet and sickly six-month-old pup named Rocket arrived as a stray at our Delta Satellite Facility and tested positive for parvovirus, a dangerous and often fatal infection. Over the past week, Rocket has been hospitalized at the Grand Valley Veterinary Emergency Center and at Grand View Animal Hospital, receiving around-the-clock supportive treatment to keep him alive. (A special thank you to the incredible Dr. TerLouw at GVAH for helping us advocate for Rocket's care!)

Through it all, Rocket has remained loving as can be, and it's clear that he will someday make an amazing companion. While his intensive treatment is lifesaving and necessary, it's also expensive — Rocket's total vet bills are already estimated to be more than $3,000.
