I have medical issues that I am normally off work for about 3 months out of the year, off and on. This past year it was 6 months. When I'm stuck at home in bed or on the couch, they keep me company. I have a reason for living now... my dogs. I started making clothes for my dogs after the first time I took them to the groomers. They looked so proud wearing their bandanas. They didn't want me to tak
e them off that night. Dogs are smart, they quickly realized that if we put the clothes on that meant we were going out. When I got Sasha, 2 months after Riley, I made my first tutu. She would sit so proud and wait for me to put it on her. Well, Riley felt left out and he wanted to wear her tutus too but it tickled his woohoo, so I tried a neck ruffle. Success, HE LOVED IT! So now they had their bandanas for daily wear (to cover their correction collars) and then their tutus/ruffles for holidays. I love making them, but my hubby said I had too many and had to get rid of some. So I started donating to shelters and rescues for their adoption events. They told me how quickly the dogs got attention when they were wearing cute little clothes. After I had my dogs for a few months and they were used to me and I was to them I decided it was time for proper training. I struck up a deal with a friend who had just opened her Total Canine Dog Center to barter costumes for training. She agreed and within 6 months my dogs had lifetime memberships. It's now been over a year and my original tutus/ruffles are still in excellent condition. Everyone is handmade by me to your specific pooches measurements. I can make them as small as Chihuahuas all the way to St Bernards. Follow the care instructions and they will last forever. I've had many friends request for their dogs and I currently have a couple of therapy dogs that are getting entire wardrobes custom made. My friends talked me into opening my own business and I am happy to share this experience with each and everyone of you.
