Prima has a NEW CHAMPION!! CH Prima’s Show Pony TKN, aka Filly!

An AKC champion title is earned by winning a total of 15 points and two of those wins must be major wins (3pt, 4pt, or 5pt win). The number of points is determined by the region you show in and the number of dogs defeated. In conformation, the judge is selecting the dog they feel best conforms to the written breed standard which is like a blue print for each breed.

AKC dog shows can be very competitive since only one male (winners dog) and one female (winners bitch) will take home championship point(s) per show. It’s not unusual to spend many weekends spread over more than a year to accumulate enough points to become a champion. Filly did it in just two weekends! One weekend at the Palm Springs show handled by professional handler Andy Linton she got two majors, in the 6-9mos puppy class. And then one weekend at the Salt Lake Doberman Pinscher Club specialties handled by her owner Brittany she got two 5pt majors the week she turned 12mos old.

🏆🌟Prima has a NEW CHAMPION!!! CH Prima’s Make Me Famous (pending AKC confirmation) Mira finished her championship today with her handler Elizabeth Barrett winning a 4pt major under judge Mr. Fabrizio La Rocca.

5 fun facts about Mira:
1️⃣ She was first owned and loved by an NBA player who named her Nala.
2️⃣ Mira lives in New York with her bff Saint, a 5yr old red male from Prima.
3️⃣ She’s health tested vWD clear, OFA hips good, OFA elbows normal, OFA thyroid normal, echo normal, 24hr holter normal, Dings1 & 2 negative, DCM1 hetero, DCM2 and OFA eye test pending.
4️⃣ Mira is the third champion in her litter. She is a sister littermate to Grand Champion Orca, Grand Champion Kona, and her brother Khan only needs one major win to become a champion as well.
5️⃣ We plan to breed her in July!

Famous just turned 6mos and showed the judges how she can leap, bound, sit repeatedly, run into ring gaits, bark for bait, and tattled on me for not show training her... Despite her ever loving antics, she got some lovely compliments and the second day was less embarrassing than the first day. I promise... I will train this dog lol.

Her name is 🌟FAMOUS🌟 and the registered name I went with is “Prima’s Can’t Help That I’m Popular.” I think the Anything For Attention name was voted for more but something about the popular one just felt right. I had an entirely different name picked for our next dog but had resigned myself to not keeping one due to sending my top picks to my friends… then we couldn’t let this little devil go. And the name I have had in my head for awhile just didn’t fit with her. If you watch my stories you’ve seen she is more of an “infamous” 😂🤣😈

We moved! I think a lot of our followers forget or didn’t realize that in 2020 we moved from Arizona to Washington state 🌲🗻🍎. Last week we moved 17mi to our first home we purchased and are still in Washington. I am still active in the AZ show scene and Doberman club. I plan to be there often for dog events and to visit friends/family, especially in the winter. But home base is here in WA. Unpacking and organizing feels like it will take forever but I’m excited to settle in. We are so happy to have a home of our very own 🥹😍🏡

They’re using literal photos of me and my family with my captions and scamming people. I have not accepted any deposit for many years. I do not accept deposits and I do not ship or transport puppies. It is really sick this person is impersonating me but I have no affiliation with any other breeder or account and do not sell puppies via messenger or without getting to know you. Also my puppies (no reputable breeder’s) are $1150. Breeding dogs is a lifetime of losses.

We lose newborn puppies...
We lose show prospects that don't turn out..
We lose dogs that fail health testing...
We lose dog shows...
We lose sleep way too often...
We lose young mothers...
And after all those losses, we lose our beloved old dogs.

Yet we all are here for the little gains that seem to keep us going.

A puppy that takes it's first breath..
A nuzzle by our best old pal..
A ribbon at a dog show...
A light in a family's eyes when they hold their puppy for the first time...
A wag of a tail...

A new generation that turns out better than the one before...
All for the love of a dog and the breed as a whole, our hearts are resilient.💗

Prima is now a registered kennel name with the AKC (American Kennel Club )! Kennel names that are registered with AKC are protected from unauthorized use. It took several years to meet the requirements for a registered kennel name and then apply for “Prima” to be granted solely for my use. Plural forms of Prima are also protected. I have registered every Doberman puppy I’ve had under the kennel prefix Prima since my first litter in 2013. And now Prima is an official AKC registered kennel name! Just a little something I am excited about. 🍾🤗🎉✔️⭐️

Our little 💜🍇 Grape girl is getting so much attention! Does everybody want her just because she is the only red lol? She really understood the assignment with her two week old photo so I am sharing her pics and some info on her:

🍇 None of our puppies are spoken for, have deposits, or are “sold,” including Grape.

🍇 We have 11-15 approved homes on our wait list that are waiting to find out if/which puppy might be the best fit for them. Some want only red, open to either color, only male, have current pets to match personality with, want (or don’t want) to show, or want an agility partner, etc.

🍇 We will wait til Grape (and the others) are old enough to temperament test and evaluate their mental and physical qualities so they can be matched to the best fit home on our list.

🍇 Is Grape a show girl? A cuddler? A busy body? Time will tell…

🍇 Dobermans come in 4 standard colors: black, red, blue, and fawn; all with rust markings. Grape is a standard color red Doberman with rust markings. Not chocolate, red nose, tan, cinnamon, or brown.

🍇 It is kind of a funny reference among the fancy that red females are more spicy personality and red males big goobers, a lot of times it rings true but it’s not a breed fact or rule to go by for every red Doberman.

🍇 Tip: Be willing to wait for your breeder to match you with the best fit puppy and not get attached to a picture you saw on Instagram. Knowing your breed FAQs and using correct terminology can help you make a long term decision and give a responsible impression to the breeder you inquire with. If you don’t know, ask and read! Little Lunchables on the way!!! After a three year break we are so excited to have puppies again.

Thank you Blake and Kristi Simmons for allowing us to incorporate Lunch Box in our program. He has such an enthusiastic, biddable personality and complimentary structure. Watch for him at the Regional & National this week shown by Hernan & Allison Pacheco, as well as his dam Pixel in the Top 20 agility ring, and his sire Twitch in the stud dog class!

Both parents are fully health tested AKC Champions with additional titles, and 3 out of 4 grandparents are BFL-1 (bred for longevity recipients). LB excels in conformation, agility, nosework, barn hunt, dock diving, and more. He has such an enthusiastic and biddable temperament. Orca will have her performance debut after her SAHM venture and her pups have moved out of the house.

Currently my waitlist is full and not accepting new applications* but I will update that after puppies are born and we begin to see how the personalities we have match up with our list of already approved homes.

The most spectacular finish to her championship Kona won her last major by going WB BOW BOB BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW last weekend to become a NEW CHAMPION (pending AKC confirmation) 🌟BISS CH Prima’s Make Headlines WAC 🌟🏆

She gets her name engraved on a trophy for winning the Desert Valley Doberman Pinscher Club Specialty!

Thanking AKC Judge John Wade for the tremendous honor for selecting Kona, Kona’s owner for believing in her letting us take this crazy ride, and her amazing handlers who Kona adores: Team Rosas with Aaron Lemus Rosas and Arturo Bravo Rosas, Andy Linton, and myself for some breeder owner handler points! And always thank you to Margarita Files allowing us to use Ali to sire this special litter.

Kona’s first weekend as a special has been full of 4 and 5pt majors going BOS and SB for a total of 18pts toward her Grand Championship including all her majors and champion defeats.

Kona is the sweetest most affectionate girl and one of my favorite road trip partners. Her plans coming up include an obedience or rally title with (we can’t wait for our turn to cheer YOU on in the ring!!! Wooo!!!!) and 🤞🏼 looking forward to baby Kona puppies in 2022 👀😱🥰🐾
