We are a no-kill rescue that serves as the main exposure point for animals in the Wakulla Animal Services Shelter. CCAR networks the various animals that are not able to readily get adopted. These animals are courtesy posted and are not in our care, unless specifically listed as a foster. We do not have a physical facility and rely solely on foster homes. CCAR is also teamed up with PetSmart, 1759

Apalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee, FL (850.688.1002) in networking & housing some of the kittens and cats that move through the Wakulla Animal Services Shelter. FOSTERS: Cauzican Foster Dogs is our sister organization and have a separate page. They help pull animals from the Wakulla Animal Services Shelter when they have available fosters. Cauzican Foster Dogs operate exclusively through foster homes in the Tallahassee and Crawfordville areas. If you are interested in becoming a foster for us, simply send an email to [email protected] or message them through their FB Page or use the application tab on our page! VOLUNTEERS: We are always in need of caring individuals to help with various tasks that range from organizing adoption events to performing home visits for potential adopters. Please email [email protected] for a foster application that will allow us to assess your interests and which area you would enjoy most :)

Donations can be earmarked for sponsorship of adoption fees, veterinary fees, food, gas money (for transport of animals to various rescues), etc. All donations are tax deductible. 💕💕 FLUFF Animal Rescue does a phenomenal job with so many fur babies. They have always helped with our pregnant fur babies. Please help them if you are able to meet their $400,000 match. Thank you!!

💕💕 A BIG THANK YOU to Celia and her friends Emma and Clara, who had a joint birthday party. Instead of presents they collected blankets, towels, beds, and dog food that were then donated to CCAR. We do have the best followers and supporters. 💕💕

💕💕 Stop by Saturday to meet these beautiful pharaoh hounds at Petsmart on Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee. They could also use some socialising so even if you aren’t looking to adopt just come by and hang out with them and show them some loving. Thank you!!

‼️‼️ Stormie is looking for a foster or furever home. She is a beautiful GSD that has been bred to death. She was pulled from the Wakulla Animal Shelter and is currently in boarding. This baby is about 8 months old and needs a home. She does not like cats and she is too much for her mom to handle. She is trying not to take her to animals control in Franklin County if you are interested please DM for more information.

‼️‼️ URGENT NEED FOR FUNDS ‼️‼️ Midnight had finally found her furever home and has now tested high positive for Parvo. CCAR is covering her medical bills and needs your help. Today has been a very emotional day. At this time, I would like to say thank you to all the people that have supported me and what I believe in and that was saving lives of unwanted and abandon animals of this county. I am no longer working for Wakulla Animal Services. Over the years with the help of the citizens and rescue partners we made the shelter 10% save rate which I was very proud of. I was told by a county employee I will never keep that rate.
That goal should be a big proitorty of the shelter staff to try and keep that goal in mind, not the ego of the person or class that animals as a number.
I have given 15 yrs of my life and time and money to make sure every animal got a chance to a better life. Yes I have saved many lives and my rescue partners made that possiable in helping in everyway they could.
But time has come that I can't stand back and watch lives be destroyed becase there is no voice for them left.
I ask that if you need help with a stray lost or abandon animal please don't contact me contact your local authorites.
Just know that I will never forget what we all did to save lives.
Thank you and my god keep us all safe and sane with the up coming changes.
Cauzican ansd I will still be here and I will always be a part of the animal world where we save lives and we are a true no kill rescue.
