After 4 Years in Foster, Franny is ADOPTED!!!

We’ve been waiting to announce this as we still can’t believe it, but after 4 years in foster our longest resident, Franny, has officially found her forever home!!
Franny was rescued in 2020 after Hurricane Laura hit Louisiana. She was found in Franny park tied to a bench. She was extremely weary of new people and other animals in the beginning and this made it very hard for her to find fosters and adopters. She was fostered by our founder for most of that time and when she had to move and couldn’t take Franny, we were in a bit of a panic.
Franny had come such a long way by this point so we knew she had potential, but a lot of people overlooked Franny still for her age, breed, and for how long she had been in foster. A friend of our founder stepped up to foster her and something magical happened- they become two peas in a pod and Franny has made some incredible leaps and bounds with her!
Franny now has been off leash with another pup and even attended a children’s baseball game. She continues to grow and blossom and we are just so excited that she is officially a foster fail 💙 We can’t wait to see how she continues to progress. We have always rooted for you Fran and this is all you ever deserved and more.

Rachel, a sweet toy poodle, has endured more heartbreak than any soul should. She was hit by a car, leaving her with a fractured left humerus and fractured right tibia and fibia. Instead of finding care, she was abandoned at the shelter, at risk of euthanasia.
She was supposed to have surgery today, but we are devastated that we had to cancel because we do not have the $6k needed. Please help us help Rachel get her surgery asap and get her life back 💙

When @wherebrookelynat told me about this puppy, we knew we had to help. This poor girl had a huge laceration on her neck and two severe cherry eyes. She was found running in the street but turns out she lives at a mechanic shop. Her neck was a bleeding open gash when Brooke first saw her. Today we went to pick her up and they had glued her neck shut with who knows what kind of glue 😭 This poor girl has been through so much. She needs immediate surgery to fix her eyes and neck. Jacob is a sweet boy who was rescued from a hoarding case. He is a strong little warrior who has lived through so much medically and continues too, but we can all learn a lot about his level of perseverance!
His back legs do not work and instead he drags them behind him, but after many tests and considering amputation, we have determined with our vets that leaving them is in his best interest and does not cause him harm.
We have already spent $1.675.25 on his medical bills and Jacob still needs a wheelchair and more X-rays to determine 1. Why he chokes after drinking water/eating food and 2. Why his pen*s continues to get stuck in the out position.
This sweet boy has already been through so much and we will do everything to ensure he has the most comfortable life he can, but we desperately need your help in funding his medical needs and a wheelchair for him.

We pulled our sweet Bucky was pulled from a local shelter on 10/14 and after two follow up appointments, he is ready to have surgery THIS TUESDAY to remove remaining bullet pieces from his gunshot wound. URGENT FOSTER NEEDED FOR LUNA!
Luna has been through over 10 foster homes in the last year and is in urgent need of a new one that will be a better environment for her. She is very sweet with humans and is working through dog reactivity and walking on leash. She deserves a fenced yard without other animals in the home and a stable environment for a long period of time.
Please don’t judge Luna for bouncing through so many homes- each move has been harder on her, but she is still a polite angel who loves to cuddle, doesn’t beg for food, loves the water, and is so loyal to humans despite it all.

She does best as a solo dog with a fenced yard, but has potential to be with a smaller and mellow pup.

FOSTER NEEDED‼️
On Monday we pulled this sweet 5yr old shepherd from Pet Resource Center. She is such a love and is very curious and happy! She is very dog friendly and loves other dogs, but unfortunately isn’t meshing with the most senior pup in the household and needs a new foster this weekend. She is getting all great with her other foster siblings and should be fine with most dogs!
She goes in for her follow up tomorrow and we will have more information on her next steps to a full recovery. At this time, she requires a fenced yard and minimal stairs (or the ability to block with a baby gate).
