For those who only know of Tinka via this page i have some sad news Tinka passed away last night after a short time of not being herself (3 days but the last two were when we knew it was time), Monday just gone it was the day we adopted her 9 years ago , run free little one as you cross the rainbow bridge , you will be forever 9 ,, and always missed by all who met you

About a mth ago dad and mum were a bit worried about me as my 3rd eyelids were all puffy and both my eyes were almost covered from the swelling .they took me to Gisbourne vets and the lovely Dr Jane. ? Checked me over and she couldn't work out why my eyes went the way they did . But while examining me i was a bit scared as i was shaking she said to mum and dad she could smell a very sweet smell and it wasn't just because our surnames are Sweet . Dr Jane said its either one of you humans or Me with that so took me to a room with no other smells in it and she could smell the sweet scent again she took me back to mum and dad and she said I think I have diabetes. As that's a sign the sweet smell .. they took some blood from me ( how dare they it's my blood) and the results confirmed Dr Jane's prognosis. And with that i was put on human insulin x 2 a day 12 hours apart was 6 then 7 units now its 8 until they get ot steadg and put on a semi strict diet i get fed 12 hours apart and dad then gives me an insulin shot . I was 25 kilos when I found out and about 5 weeks later ( thursday 24th aug) i was 21 kilos but im sure i heard the nurse say 20.?? But we will make it 21 . I no longer make that growly sound when i breathe I'm getting my wrinkles back And my staffy collar used to be on the 4th from the start hole .Now it's on one but its a little too loose so it looks like i will be needing a new staffy collar . Mum and dad and the staff at the vets are looking after me .

Dad and mum forgot it was my 9th birthday on the 4th. But i forgive them as these things happen I'll remind them they owe me a dog friendly cake tho ;) . They did take me to get a pet-i-cure on Saturday,my foot nails grow so fast .

Mum had to hold me as i wouldnt sit still like Mitzy does
