Our mission at Grateful Rescue save the lives of all animals that find their way to us. We give them a home, where they will stay unless they are adopted or fostered. We create a home setting for them, evaluate their temperament, and match them with suitable adopters or foster care. They are not caged, they are only inside at night and during extreme weather in a climate-controlled living space bu

ilt especially for them. They are spayed or neutered, microchipped,up to date on shots, and heartworm negative. Most importantly, all are loved, safe, well-fed and cared for.

Bella is the sweetest! 10 years old, but happy and sweet with the most pawsitive spirit!!! Bebe met her too, as she was along for the trip to Indy on another adventure of her own!

WELCOME TO GRATEFUL, SOLAR! Her euthanasia date was on the 27th, but thanks to a foster stepping up, she was given a chance to live and we pulled her from IACS

I stopped by the house to pick up foster papers, and decided to bring her inside with me. She allowed me to leash her with no issues. My laptop was on the bed, so I sat down and she jumped up, started fluffing up a spot and did belly rolls. This is a perfect example of how a dog can decompress (almost immediately) once out of a stressful situation. Being “urgent” doesn’t always mean they are a dangerous dog. Just scared.

Life is good, Solar! Now you can enjoy it!!

CONGRATULATIONS HAILEY!!! Little Hailey joined her new family yesterday, Michelle, Josh and sister Coco Byrd! There was so much love in that room and Hailey & Coco went home together & continued to play & celebrate!! We are so grateful to the Byrd family for welcoming her to their pack!

Have a wonderful life, Hailey! We love you!!!

DIESEL SAYS: REMEMBER ME ?!! While I’ve been gushing about my Saulsent baby BeBe, I also want to remind you that we have wonderful loving dogs still in need of home!!! Diesel is a true heart dog and has still not been adopted!

Diesel is an absolutely perfect dog! He loves other dogs, kids, everyone alike! He has not been around cats, but my guess is he wouldnt hurt them, but I could see him playing too rough with one! He loves having a playmate, and he also loves lying by your side! Gives kisses too!

Diesel is submissive to dogs he meets which made his compatibility with our other dogs here a breeze! He can play with any of them, never a scuffle, he doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body! About 50 pounds. Just over knee high 💖

Diesel came to us from a shelter, closing down, with all remaining unclaimed animals to be euthanized. He arrived at the shelter after being chained, starved and heartworm positive. He was even offered to a research lab and THEY declined!! Sadly, dogs with such baggage are the ones that are likely left behind..but Diesel tugged at our hearts. We took him, he is now heartworm free, healthy and the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet.
