Ever thought about fostering a dog from a shelter?? Don’t want to take on a long term commitment because that scares you?

How about fostering a dog for a day or weekend to give them a break from the shelter life.

Did you know, it’s very helpful to a dog living in a shelter, to receive a mental break.

Offer to foster, it will help that shelter dog stay mentally upbeat, it will give them hope.

Take them on a field trip, to the park, hiking, a drive, or just relaxing in your home for the day or weekend.

Harsh realIty for most rescues. Please click and listen.

Adoptions are down, donations are down and rescues across the country are struggling to be able to continue helping dogs that are being abandoned or about to lose their life at a shelter.

I would suspect this shelter would welcome food, supplies, and help of any kind.

Please share this.

The monthly overhead to keep the shelter running costs nearly $7,000.

1,000 days in a shelter and he still remains hopeful for a loving home.

As full as the shelters are, it’s a miracle he’s still alive.

Tuesday marked 1,000 days since the 6-year-old dog was admitted into PAWS Humane Society in Wilmington, Ohio, making him the longest canine resident the shelter has ever had in its 15 years of operation.

Adopt Percy ♥️

Please share far and wide for this handsome boy to be adopted and loved.

Bonded, adoptable boys at the shelter.
They need to stay together, they are always by each others side.

If they were to be broken up, it would be heartbreaking, and they will be emotionally affected, but the shelter does not care about that. If someone wants to adopt just one, the shelter will break them up. That cannot happen.

In order to help them stay together and find a loving home together, please share far and wide.

Bio from the shelter, below:

Meet the CUTEST pair of BONDED brothers, Remy and Gus Gus 🫶🏼 (Remy-black and Gus-gray)…and they bring a new meaning to brotherly love❤️
Remy and Gus are said to be about 7 years old (likely siblings) and came in as strays.

After spending time with them today, they are absolutely bonded and we, the shelter volunteers would love to keep them together. Unfortunately, it is not mandatory for the shelter to keep them together.

So it’s up to us! These boys are so affectionate with each other and they can share food together.

Remy and Gus appear potty trained, allowed grooming, they take treats gently, and they know sit. They are a little shy at first, but extremely sweet. Sensitive boys💓 They do not appear reactive to other dogs, but they would need the proper time separated and very slow and safe introductions to other dogs. Kids would most likely be ok as long as they are polite with animals and the intros were slow.

Let’s keep these boys together. Share, tag and tell everyone you know.

Wanna meet Remy and Gus Gus? Bring the family down to Maricopa County Animal Care & Control west shelter today!
No appointments need.

Frenchie lovers! Did you know this breed is in trouble?

They are being abandoned, found as strays, unclaimed, turned in because breeders can’t sell the puppies. It’s a nationwide issue. It used to be, years ago you would never see a French bulldog in a shelter, now they are being dumped, wandering the streets and euthanized daily.

Looking to adopt?

Please hop over to the Freedom Frenchie RescueFreedom Frenchies page, link is below, they are a local Phoenix rescue specializing in the breed and follow them, share their posts, donate, it all helps.

Share their posts, or sponsor a rescue Frenchie.

They are also in need of donations for spaying and neutering, vetting, helping with medical and surgeries for their newly rescued frenchies.

They are in need of loving foster homes too.

FFR goal is on a mission to advocate for the French Bulldog and place in loving homes.

As some may know I have a rescue history, volunteering, fostering, running my own rescue years ago and have continued to help support and promote my rescue friends and groups over many years.

Helping dogs is just my passion.

Additionally, some may know, we are in a nationwide crises of abandoned dogs.

The situation is completely out of control. Shelters are at max capacity and most rescues have little interest in their adoptable dogs.

Adoptions are down, dogs are being abandoned, taken to shelters, stolen, sold for money; left in the desert etc.

I don’t know how else to help out other than, I plan to showcase and promote a rescue each month.

Did you know that even if you aren’t looking to adopt, you can help tremendously by providing donations for food, medical, supplies etc. Many groups have Amazon wish lists, direct links to donate towards vetting etc.

You can also tremendously help out by fostering. Fostering simply saves lives. If you can maybe open your home and heart to one, that will potentially help the rescue have an open spot to save a dog.

This month my rescue spotlight is on Freedom Frenchie Rescue located in Phoenix.

Next month, I will showcase another rescue.

Last week, they rescued 7 frenchies from California and this week they also rescued a medical case frenchi from California.

Donate, foster, promote, share their wish list, volunteer.

Even sharing their adoptable dog posts can help tremendously. Spread the word of a breed in need of help. Help the rescue help the breed.

Pop over to their Facebook and Instagram pages and spread some love🐾 donation links are there too.

This beautiful girl has been waiting for her forever home for a couple of years. She spent most of those two years in boarding.

Finally, her rescue group found her a foster home, now the foster can no longer foster her.

It’s going to be a tragedy if she has to go back to boarding.

Please share to all ♥️🐾♥️

They are also asking for help with donations for medical care for the newly rescued frenchies in these pictures.

Frenchies are being found as strays, abandoned, overly breed and simply discarded.

They are being breed and if not healthy or deformed or they can’t sell them, then dumped when they can’t walk or are blind etc. It’s a true disgrace and so beyond out of control.

If you can’t foster, I’m sure they would greatly appreciate donations for medical care.

Please take precautions!

Especially these breeds! They struggle to breathe as it is, combine that with heat, and your dog can very quickly become overheated, stressed and could die. This is serious.

A lost French Bulldog, died yesterday because of heatstroke.

Please share and educate.
