Hettie and her three legged sidekick Tripod are looking for a new home along with their catio pen

Meet Tripod and Hettie! They are two cats my sister Susan Brown at Humanimal Connection took in when they were abandoned in a neighborhood about 10 years ago. She noticed that Tripod's leg was hurt and trapped them to help him and get them off the streets. Unfortunately, one of Tripod's legs had to be amputated. This didn't slow him down any and he has been going strong for the last ten years. When Susan passed away a friend and fellow animal rescue person took both cats in and we built a pen for them at her house.

Now due to a death in the family, they cannot be kept at her house much longer. We are looking for a place to move them and the pen. Everything in the pen comes with them plus the food storage containers. Food will be sent by Humanimal Connection when needed to their new home and any medical needs will be taken care of.

Hettie is the calico cat and loves to be brushed and loves to purr and brush up against you. She may nip sometimes but she doesn't have any teeth so can do no harm. They had thorough dental work and medical services when Susan trapped them. I am hoping to get more medical services during the transfer time. The other cat, Tripod, is more stand offish and doesn't like to be touched but, of course, he loves to know his human cares.

They have always lived in a pen and are very acclimated to this type of situation. Now that they are older the pen situation is the safest home for them. The pen fits up against the wall of the house and is very spacious. It does not leak and has lots of toys and cat structures in it for the cats to jump around on and sit on. Plus it has a loft that they like to go in.

I am posting this again because the first post did not turn out correctly. We are looking for a foster for Princess the cat. I call her Palo Alto Princess because she was found in a Palo Alto neighborhood by a resident who seeing she was neglected, skinny and filthy, took her home and gave her a bath and has been feeding her. Unfortunately she cannot keep her any longer. It could take a few months to get her back into adoptable condition. Humanimal Connection will pay for medical, food and other foster expenses. We did track down the owner but she does not want her back and it may not be a good place for her anyway. Fosters can apply by texting Judy at 650 910-5958.

What a photogenic Winky Sam in the tree. Winky was rescued as a little kitten that was orphaned and found in a backyard. He is a little trickster and keeps his foster busy with his adventuresome energy. His foster decided that she would adopt him!

BJ has a foster and very likely an adoption situation going on right now. I have been fostering her for the last 7 months or so and working with her on some behavior issues. She has been a very good student and I feel has become very adoptable. She has such a unique personality I will miss her at my house but am glad she has potentially found such a great home. Here BJ is at her new family home.

Franny and Zooey were adopted by a wonderful family. There was so much interest in them and I can see why because they are beautiful, healthy cats with wonderful dispositions.

We lost our precious Grey Boy last week. He was rescued about 7 months ago and tested positive for HIV plus he had a chronic sinus issue. We got medical help for him which helped him enjoy life some. The highlight of his day was when his humans came to feed him and visit with him. I am glad he got these months of human love and attention.
