UPDATE ON BRAVO'S MEDICAL STATUS!

BRAVO K911 : BRAVO UPDATE : CANCER SUCKS!!!
So no one was more suprised than the Vet Specialists at NCSU … but mystery partly solved. The cancer IS IN THE BONE MARROW 😥. Very glad I opted to let them do that test . What does this all mean ????
Well from what I gather from the 10 min phone call I just had , it’s like a chronic Leukemia. He will need chemo . A pill every other day, that the vet says most dogs tolerate very well with not many side effects at all. Normally Pred given too , but during all this mess he has been diagnosed with Cushings🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. Cannot do Pred with Cushings. Just another complication. He will also need blood work ups every 2-4 weeks for quite sometime. The best thing I can say…. Is that we know what we are dealing with now and the prognosis is most patients do ok for up to 2 years or more . His case is still so rare and symptoms not what one would expect , that we will just have to take it one day at a time. Right now I’d say he’s SURVIVING & THRIVING ! ❤️🐾❤️

BRAVO K911: UPDATE ON BRAVO ….
Had a really nice day at the NCSU Veterinary Hospital . Everyone was super nice . I loved the fact that our doctor ,Dr.Rachel Hritz, had done her studying on our case the night before . She had even looked up many reports on cancer in dogs and people , just trying to make things make sense .
BOTTOM LINE IS , NOTHING MAKES SENSE ! Bravo does not present like any normal T Cell Lymphoma case. Like there Is literally no case studies presenting the way he is . Bravo may be writing the books and study himself. With that said, they did find some similarities to T-Zone Lymphoma . A much less agressive form of cancer that normally goes on 2-3 years. Soooo NCSU would like to give a second opinion and is requesting the spleen and slides from IDEXX.
There is also 5 more test they’d like to do . They did 2 of those 5 today . A full CBC count that showed no circulating cancer . They also did an aspirate of a lymphnode . It was very hard to do as his lymphnodes are so small. But the doctor got it done and much to everyone’s surprise it came back BENIGN !!!
So once again we are left with more questions than answers. However I do feel more encouraged that even the vet school does not understand what’s going on and would never perceive Bravo to be a “ sick “ dog . Dogs that have the same results as Bravo’s first tests are normally VERY SICK ! Also the test that they did do today found no cancer . We have another 2 weeks before we will have all the RETEST back . Sooo please continue to keep Bravo in your thoughts and prayers , IT IS WORKING !!!

BRAVO K911: WE ARE SO HONORED !!!
Some of you may recall that the first of March I posted about how excited I was that Bravo K911 had been nominated for an award . This is the first awards ceremony held by LOST PET SEARCH AND RECOVERY , honoring people & K9s in the Lost Pet Industry . Nominees would come from the US ,Canada and more. Well , last night the awards banquet was held in Burbank ,California .
First of all I’d like to thank THE ACADEMY and all of my fellow nominees… lol . Honestly, I’m beyond suprised , thrilled and grateful to say that BRAVO K911 won BEST
K9 TEAM/ BUSINESS. Thank you so much to Annalisa Berns( Pet Search And Rescue) and Landa Coldiron( Lost Pet Detection California)for hosting such a wonderful and much needed event . I look forward to many more to come . Thank you also to those who have supported us along the way . From my instructors and mentors , colleagues,social media pages and local volunteers. Also a big thank you to Team Bravo ,Shannon Coleman & Sarah Seely, for always being there when I need ya and going far and beyond your volunteer status . And lastly thank you to my K9 partner ,Bravo . Thank you for being the best partner and teammate ever .You have never once let me down , had a bad day or even said I don’t want to today . UPDATE: BRAVO K911 : BRAVO UPDATE ,DAY 15 Post Op
Hey it’s me Bravo . Today is day 15 which was maybe gonna be 15 of 25 days . But my mama says I’m doing so good that I’m gonna be out of jail time and ready to go DAY 17 !!!
TODAY was the first day I felt like playing with my toys and going on a 15 min walk . Mom says tomorrow we can walk about 30 min and then Monday I’m gonna go back to playing SUPER HERO ! !
We are still waiting for that very important ”C” test to come back . Mom is REALLY WORRIED but I feel fine and I keep telling her I’ll be just fine . Thank you for all of your kind thoughts and get well wishes . Keep sending them please and send some to my mommy too !!!

There are many tracker web sites that are popping up that look legit but ARE NOT! They are even using the MARN (missing animal response network) logos and credentials without permission!
One way to know is if the website is a scam is if the “contact us” button links you to an Instagram site, IT IS A SCAM!
PLEASE do not fall for them!
Read here for scam info and never ever send money without doing due diligence with the company!

This dog was seen being dumped from a car onto Mountain Brook and Arbor Grande Roads in 27615. We can’t be sure this wasn’t someone other than a family member who left the dog. Perhaps he was stolen and released.
He is not chipped or neutered.
Please leave any leads in the comments.

FROM FREEDOM RIDE RESCUE:
PSA - the 4th of July will be here before we know it and not all dogs handle the noise of fireworks well. Connect with your vet NOW if you think your dogs may need meds in order to stay calm. If you don't have a plan for your pooch during the holiday, make one! Be sure you keep your dog leashed when outside in an unfenced area to minimize the risk of them running off if they are scared of the noise. When in the house, consider leaving the TV on or playing music to help distract from the noise.

😱😱At least on the 4th. Be with your leashed dog when outside today through the 5th as it is the unexpected neighborhood fireworks that you cannot anticipate that sends dogs running in a panic.
