In 2002 I lost the love of my life, Pepper my very first rescued dog! He was a little black and white Spaniel mx that had been severely beaten and abused. I made him a promise while he was passing that I would do something very special to honor him. While volunteering at the East Valley Animal shelter in 2005 I began to see which animals were being euthanized first, and of course it was the senior
s and special needs. So then it hit me like a light bulb going off in my head, that I would honor Pepper and that is how I founded The Pepper Foundation dedicated to rescuing senior and special needs animals! I'm sure wherever Pepper is he is happy that we haved saved the lives of so many animals in his honor!

Update Ivy! For those of you that remember Ivy the tiny yorkie with metastatic mammary cancer! After surgery and months of chemo she went into complete remission!! We had a recheck today with her oncologist. They found a tiny suspicious growth in her left armpit so we did a needle aspirate and sent it off to the lab for biopsy. If it comes back positive at least we caught it very very early! We also are waiting on blood work results. We took her over to Studio city for her xrays cause our vet is $305 instead of $450 . Shes doing well and eating great so her quality of life is perfect but we do need to kerp an eye on it cause ger cancer was extremely aggressive!

Tw***ie was rescued today by The Pepper Foundation from south la shelter. She was there a long time because she had a microchip and an owner but the owner ignored all the phone calls and never showed up. The woman who got first rights never showed up either! Poor thing came out with a horrible upper respiratory infection so she us in iso . She will be going to our vet tomorro for bloodwork and whatever else she needs💕

We urgently need pledhes for this poor baby at south la!! She was brough in 10 days ago. She had an owner but they never showed up. The person who brought her in never showed up either. South la contacted us this morning and asked us if we could pick her up. Yes we will be on our way soon . They said major medical although we dont know yet what her medical issues are! Stay tuned for an update!! Her name is Tw***ie!! 💕

Update Princess Xenia from San Bernardino. She still has a bad URI but hopefully within two weeks we will be able to do her surgery to remove those nasty mammary masses!! Stay tuned for update 💜💕

Remember little Odie the scruffy terrier we rescued a few months ago from The Bradshaw Animal Shelter in Sacramento? Look at him now in hos foster home!! Hes such a cute adorable little muffin!! Update Fluffy from the West Valley Animal Shelter
Fluffy went to the vet yesterday! Poor thing has been scared to death and is a little snappy but she is very food motivated and became the vets best friend with the rotisserie chicken i picked along the way!
Her blood work is absolutely perfect and the only thing wrong with her is she has a lot of dental tartar and a few loose teeth. She is only 6 pounds . She will remain in foster care to adopt ♥️

Remember sweet Rosemarie we just rescued a few weks aho from seaaca! Shes doing great in her foster home recovering from major surgery on her mouth. She had 18 nasty teeth pulled and is soooo much happier now!!
Her invoice came to $2000 for those of you asking how much is was for dentals!! With these little older doggies with heart murmurs and health issues sure we can go to some cheeper vet rushing them in and out all day doing dentals and spays but we will not risk losing them because they require special care during surgery!!

Look who we rescued today from East Valley Shelter! We named him Mario! He is a tiny little 5 pound munchkin who i swear is a teeny german shepherd!! Hevhss the worst dental disease and a pretty substantial heart murmur so its gonna be tricky but we gotta take care of his mouth!!!

She has the worst skin infection, huge manmary tumors, upper respiratory infection, dental disease, shes covered in yeast and scabs, sje was so severely neglected !! She is so sweet!!
