Shadow is approximately 38 +/- year old Moloccan Cockatoo. She has called the Peace Country home for most of her years.

She's had many families over the years, including the Mighty Peace Vet Clinic. Shadow has called us home for the past 7+ years now !

Shadow is out of surgery and doing well! We are back at the hotel and she's resting. Poor girl hates her cone.

Well Shadow and I have made it safely to Edmonton-ish. Mommy has her surgery tomorrow and then Shadow has hers Thursday morning.

Shadow has had a very busy couple of days. Yesterday we drove down to Wabamun Provincial Park for some camping adventures. Then today we headed into the city for a very busy day. We went and looked at some new tractors for the farm Agrigerra Equipment in Spruce Grove. Then off to Harvest Pointe Animal Hospital for a wellness check and to have a spot looked at. Shadow is healthy and a bit "fluffy" but aren't we all? 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣 We got to meet Dr. Darren and his staff. Everyone came out with all their fingers intact.
Then we headed out to Meika's Bird House for some treats, toes and food! We continued our travels over to G & E for some doggo treats. Wrapping it all up with Boston Pizza at the camper!

Shadow is ready for a family camping extravaganza! Mommy's driving duties have been reassigned, and the kiddo is now in the driver's seat!

Shadow is now on day 2 of her recovery. We are starting to get used to the cone. She gets frustrated and takes it out on her toys. The louder the better to show her displeasure over it. But she's no longer panicking having it on.
